Easy to replace but not the issue
I thought this unit was the issue so replaced it. Nice and simple to replace. Comes with all the parts. In the end the issue was the controller which seems to be the most common fault. For those looking to buy for a boiler that doesn't warm the radiators, first remove the switch unit from the water pipes (to stop any doubt over the power of the motor). Set the boiler to central heating. Now check that the switch completes the transition from hot water to central heating on its own. If it does then it's this motor if it doesn't then most likely the controller, next check should confirm. Now try it again, but this time give it a helping hand. If it just needs a gentle nudge then I suspect you have same issue as me which was the controller was fried. Only thing for that is a new unit. Had I realised how these things work, I'd have saved myself a few bob

Decent item but be careful with fixing screws
Item seems decent quality and did the job. For anyone fitting this to a Drayton ZA6 actuator like I have, there seemed to be slight variance in the build tolerances which meant there was some resistance in the mechanism causing the springs not to return. I got past this by loosening the two motor fixing screws until there was enough freedom on the springs - it meant the assembly wasn't quite as tight as before but still safe and adequate to fit back on the valve body.

Fits Siemens DVA 2/5 - CZV222 and works well
Fitted this to a Siemens DVA 2/5 Zone control valve. Two wires to connect to the existing ones using the supplied crimp 'top hats' . Fits perfectly well and worked straight away. Time will tell if it keeps going

ok
It is not a universal fit, I had to file down the two fixing taps as they did not fit into the fixing recess's in the Danfoss HP2A motorised valve base and was preventing the drive gear of the motor meshing with the opener gear, after this was complete and assembled, I test ran the motor several times and it worked. Even with the extra adjustments required to this motor it still works out much cheaper than buying the complete valve assembly.

Easy replacement for Honeywell valves
Used to replace a Honeywell synchronous motor that worked intermittently. Easy to install since all the screws/connectors were provided.

Perfect replacement
Perfect replacement for Honeywell motorized valve. Cheaper than Screwfix and they only sell Drayton ones. You'll need a crimping tool to secure the wiring, but if you're contemplating buying this valve, you probably have a pair!
