Chicken Tamales, Canned Tamales, 15 Oz (Pack of 12)

These taste great. I always have them around.

I love these tamales, but the chicken has a little different flavor than the beef variety, less chicken-like. The beef tamales taste like beef. The chicken, not so much like chicken. There are 6 in a 15 oz can, if that makes a difference in meal planning.

These are sooo good honestly. I did not expect them to have such a good flavor. My package came all in one piece and no cans were dented!! It was in a secure box with plastic wrap on top. One can was so much for me these were super filling and so tasty. Don't have to cook them, because its already cooked.

I wanted some canned chicken products to put away for emergencies and these tamales are perfect. I give 4 stars because the sauce is not the best with a very tomato taste. It is almost like straight tomato paste. The tamales are good for a fast easy meal. It has a long expiration time which is the best thing.

I normally like Hormel tamales, but apparently only the beef. I did not realize these were chicken with all kinds of every supposedly bad thing removed from them, so they just really don't have very good flavor. You may have to drown them in something like a good hot sauce or something like that. I have a feeling they're going to be sitting on my shelf for a very long time

Convenient to have at home. Need easy to eats foods for a few months after having dental work. Not supposed to chew food yet. Seems like more than the easier to find beef ones. Not sure I needed a full case. Great Price.

I remember when there were eight tamales in a can. Now its teeming with liquid. I thought the chicken tamales would be a good alternative to the beef. They're ok but reading the can label I see two tamales contain 900 mgs. of sodium. Not so good for someone with high blood pressure. Probably won't order again. What is the fixation of food manufacturers to spike foods with sodium.
