Weruva BFF Minced Natural Wet Cat Food, Tuna and Pumpkin Valentine in Gravy, 3oz Can, Pack of 24

I have 2 full time indoor cats (one has major issues with digestion and is constantly regurgitating almost every food we have tried) and one indoor/outdoor cat which has major allergies. I have tried to find a food that will work for both of them for a long time and this is the best I've found. I've many expensive premium brands that can only be found online and at my local pet depot. He is for sure picky and just eats way too quickly. I've tried slow feed bowls and three small feedings per day, and I've tried various other "canned cat foods" in attempt to find something that he can and will eat SLOWLY. This food is also AMAZING with the cat that has Digestive problems. The lady at the local pet depot recommended this formula to me because pumpkin is great for sensitive furbaby tummies (learn something new every day!). It is also free of carogeen and guar gum, which is a definite plus. ETA: We are now on day 34 with this food and issues have yet to arise. All my cats' coats look better and they seem to be feeling very good on this food. I will be repurchasing! - I also have a new kitten who is intolerant of salmon (very common ingredient in cat foods) and this does NOT have salmon in it and it works really well for her!

We used to take our cat Lacy - a medium-haired Tuxedo kitty - to the vet at least once every 6 weeks before we discovered this food. Even though we'd brushed her daily & tried mineral oil, the Vaseline on the paw thing, 'treat'-type hairball remedies, and prescriptions from the vet, she would end up gagging up puddles of bile all over the house until a 4 or 5 inch PACKED wad of hair was expelled. Twice she ended up needing enemas & stays at the vet's office. After doing boatloads of research, I discovered 2 things that ended up making all of the difference for us: raw pumpkin is great for hairballs, and cats don't get enough water. So I switched from (really REALLY expensive!) dry hairball food to BFF Tuna & Pumpkin wet food & provided a kitty water fountain that is supposed to entice cats to drink more fluids. There was an immediate difference! BUT, because I'm a dork, I thought it might be a coincidence, so I started giving a tiny bit of the dry food as a little treat...then I'd give a bowl as the morning meal...then I'd give the dry for dinner when I was too lazy to open a can. (I mean, it's WORK pulling that little tab!!) But it turned out to be even more work (accompanied by sadness and guilt) to drag the poor cat back to the vet & clean the carpet after the hairballs came back, so . . . We've been back on the BFF for about 4 months, and there have been no more nasty puddles and matted hair snakes on the floor or $200 visits to the vet. We have actually signed up for the subscription delivery of the Tuna & Pumpkin so it's always on hand. Great stuff!

Cats Love It

My cat's love this food, I learned that wet food is overall healthier for your cat to be on. I had to do the math on spreadsheets comparing all the options of cat food and cost for the year vs. amount of meals, this was the cheapest option by 600$ compared to other competing brands. So being able to give my cat a vet recommended food brand is affordable for me. I extend this to 4 meals by adding a little bit of dry food to the meals. This specific can has a bummer, it gives my cat the runs horribly. But I believe she is just more sensitive to pumpkin than others. Thankfully they package the food so that I can scrape off the pumpkin, leaving an option if she has constipation going on. Just beware of that issue being a possibility. Five stars is given because price comparison is the best for a highly recommended brand from a vet, (which some have issues with giving fish due to possibility of mercury poisoning but sometimes there are extreme views) all 3 of my cats love it, and one was a difficult to transition off of dry food. Know gravy types do make the food like giving your pet a big mac more so. While I won't be buying this specific flavor I am sticking with the brand. Crunch the numbers yourself and see that a great brand of food is not out of your price range.

Good product. Couldn't wait to check out this pumpkin, which I just mash into the food so the cats won't try to eat around it. Not sure if they would eat it otherwise, as my cats eat around the wellness carrot in their chicken version, so figure this would probably be no different. Overall, great texture for the cat, loads of good creaminess, and the dark brown tuna, not high quality but I think this product is worth it if it sells at a good price in comparison to products like Wellness. Plus the cats really do love the tuna chunks in there, so it is a gourmet type of cat food-- this brand in general, and my cats love all of the brand's flavors. I think that the pumpkin in this one is a winner cause it perhaps can benefit the cat in some way, and melds well with the food if you want to mash it in there, plus the pumpkin bits are very very soft and not too big, so could be overlooked by a less discerning cat! Will buy again.

My cat is allergic to absolutely everything, from dust to fleas to most cat food ingredients. We went grain-free, but that wasn't enough because it turned out she was ALSO allergic to most common proteins, like chicken and beef. Did I mention she's also a picky eater? When we had to make the rare-protein switch, I made a sweep through the pet store for every no-grain rare-meat option they had. Half of them, she wouldn't even touch. The BFF Tuna and Pumpkin was the clear winner from our experiment. (Luckily, it was one of the less expensive options. Some of those "artisan" foods can get expensive!) She's been on it for about 8 months now, and her itching and vomiting are almost gone, her coat is softer, and she seems to have more energy overall. My mother started her own elderly cat on BFF Tuna when she saw that transformation, and her cat is loving the food and looking healthier too. Our biggest problems are (1) finding it -- the local pet store has trouble keeping enough cans in stock, and (2) keeping our other cats and dog away because they all love it at least as much as Allergy Cat. Not much answer to the latter problem, but Amazon has been a lifesaver for the former. The price is comparable to our local pet store, and it's extra-convenient to have cases delivered directly to our door.

I was warned by my local vendor of natural cat food not to order cat food on line. I didn't listen. This food is pretty expensive , my cats really liked so..... The cans came and the tuna and pumpkin looked like the stuff purchased at the local store. MY cats ate a little and walked away. The chicken and tuna product I also purchased at same time, looks nothing like the product obtained locally. After a few days of these cans of food, my cats stopped eating it and their stools changed to soft rather than firm. These products sold at AMAZON come from THAILAND. I either did not see that before purchase or it didn't register. I will never purchase cat food on line again.

I have two cats Moonbeam and Shadow. They eat almost anything but moonbeam was diagnosed with allergies and bad asthma. We avoid chicken. This caused me to look at the foods they eat. My girls used to be partial to Friskies but they’d leave it. Not only is pumpkin good for digestion, they LOVE this food. Like steadily eating till their bowls are finished. It’s also quite moist and with most cats suffering from dehydration, I still add water. It’s been great. Cheaper than food at specialty pet stores for sure. Best price to oz ratio on the market that I’ve seen. Might try the other flavors if my girls get flavor fatigue. Thank you Weruva!

Good quality healthy food! Wet, moist, soft chunks, easy to stir.

Forced my cat to eat this food and no wonder why he doesn't like it, it smells so bad. Waste of money. If you cat doesn't like smelly food avoid this product. I can't even return the other 11 cans. Waste of my money.
