These bags are tough, have two sets of handles (one short set and a longer set for over your shoulder), and carry a lot. I mostly use them for groceries in place of conventional plastic grocery bags. They also work well as a very affordable bag for a day at the beach or a weekend getaway.

These are awesome bags. I have many bags, all different brands and sizes, but IKEA bags are the cheapest and most sturdy bags. I have many sizes of IKEA bags and love them all.These specific bags I will use when I travel. They can hold a lot and are very sturdy.

I liked these bags so much that I purchased them twice. Strong material and a good size which makes the bags much easier to carry.

Great for groceries! These bags don't tear like the ones you buy at the grocery store. The double handle works awesome. Have a short handle and a longer one for your shoulder.

I don't know what Frakta means, but I'm inclined to assume it's something like "Really sturdy, cheap blue bag that you can store a jillion pounds of groceries in without even coming close to overloading." I might have gotten a verb wrong in there, but overall I believe I'm 10,000% correct.Let's start at the top, the cloth handles. They're made of this strong, tough, ropey fiber that seems like something a mountain climber would use to tether himself to a cliff. I don't even think scissors could cut through this even if you tried. Yet it still manages to be comfortable in your clutches, so it's a wonderful combination of form and function. In a bag.The bag itself seems indestructible, made of this delightfully thick laminated plastic fiber that I swear you could use to line a bulletproof vest and probably come out of a gunfight unscathed. And if you routinely pack sharp or pointy groceries (where are you shopping??), there's no way they'll even come close to puncturing the Frakta's durable hide.These are now my new grocery bags, plain and simple. They fit a ton of goods, they're so well stitched and finely manufactured that I doubt a decade of heavy use would cause them to fray or come apart, and they're shiny and blue. I like shiny blue things, so it's convenient. Toss out your old grocery sacks and join the Frakta club. It sounds weird but I promise, it's fabulous.

It's hard to underscore how much I love these bags! I bought these medium size ones online and I've gotten the large ones in-store. It's cheaper in-store, but the medium ones aren't in stock as often near me for whatever reason and I didn't want to wait for my next trip to have them.These work for literally everything. So sturdy, which is key, but also overlooked is how freaking comfortable it is to hold this on your shoulder. You can be unbothered walking around with it on your arm as you take some items from point A to point B. If you can get them in-store, that's the best option because it's less expensive, but if you don't have any IKEA stores near you, it's nice that you can get them here. Although a bargain in-store, they are well worth the price they are on here and after as much as use as you can get out of them, you won't be thinking you overpaid. I've used them for carrying groceries, to take food to parties, to take food on a picnic, to carry drinks to the beach, to carry towels to the pool,and to carry a ton of presents over Christmas to my sister's among many other uses. It's fantastic for so many things, you can't go wrong with them.

Love the Ikea Frakta shopping bags. These bags carry a heavy load - I've carried close to 50 lbs, and I've had some for 2 years or more of heavy use with no signs of wear. The long handles can be used over the shoulder.NOTE - they are not completely leakproof, at least the ones I've had for a few years are no longer 100% watertight. But I've used them for lawn bags, laundry baskets, grocery totes, recyclables, and many other uses. They rinse off easily, and fold compactly.My only complaint: They don't have the plastic insert in the bottom like grocery store bags, and they dont stand up that well on their own, in spite of what's shown in the picture.But I still highly recommend these bags. They may be cheaper at the store, but I'm not close to an IKEA, and relative to other 'similar' type bags, I find these a great value, if you watch - they come in various sizes and shapes, and some of the options offered are not good deals, but I've gotten way more than my money's worth.

I bought these bags for vacation where we have to bring everything (like food, spices, bath supplies, sheets, towels etc) and for college move in day. They are super light weight but very sturdy and hold lots of weight. And they fold down to nothing for easy storage when not in use. Amazon sent me a bigger size than I ordered but these still work great. I have ordered some of these brand before for college and vacation and they never disappoint.
