Not as soft as I'd like, but wow, they sure do work!
I live and work in Florida, and have to wear dress clothes for 80% of my assignments... I don't have a medical sweaty-feet condition or anything, but regular socks do have that "just starting to smell bad" odor after a long day as I believe is to be expected for most folks wearing stuffy dress shoes in warm and humid climates. No way would I re-use an unwashed pair since it invariably would mean funky feet. These socks however, really do keep my feet so dry that there's nothing even approaching any odor at the end of the day. As a test, I wore a pair of these FOUR times in a row (YUCK, I know... but it was all in the name of science :-) ) and they did not smell like anything AT ALL, ever. Spooky actually. I put them in the clothes hamper just due to my upbringing; fearing what would happen if my mom ever found out! One thing to note, the instructions for these things say to not use fabric softener when you wash them because it affects the moisture wicking properties somehow. My wife forgot and used some on them this weekend, so I'll have to report back later to see how or if that changes things. As far as cons go, they do feel a bit stiff, kinda like wool, but not scratchy. I still wear my regular, soft cotton socks a lot, especillay when I know I'll only be out for a few hours. Basically, I use these when I know it'll be a long day. Another con, I can't joke around with my daughters by waving daddy's "stinky feet" near them after a long day of work!Despite their slight stiffness, I'm giving these five stars because of how well they work. I learned about this brand of socks cause I researched looking for the best ones to wear for mud races (Savage Race, Toughmudder, etc) since having done a couple of these I realized how important lowly socks could be. Here's why: these races tend to start by having you dunk/swim through ice water, followed by countless stream and mud crossings, meaning you basically spend the whole race with uncomfortable, sloshy, damp feet just begging for blisters. My last race I used a hiking specific pair (Ultra??) from these folks which made me feel I was cheating! After even the longest, deepest of dunks my feet would feel dry within a few hundred yards it seemed. Anyhow, I saw these here on Amazon and put them in my Wish List, and they were on sale one day so I went for it. Very happy I did. In summary, they're just black socks, nothing fancy fashion-wise. Sure, they're not the comfiest out there, but if what you want is to have dry feet, these are outstanding. Oh, made in the USA too.Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be glad to help.

Works as advertised!
After having read tons of good stuff on them, decided to buy this variant. The usual problem with formal shoes being socks get cramped meaning the feet turn itchy, sweat more, and as sweat dries, become sticky etc. The problem is completely eliminated here because of the amazing dual layer fabric, which also keeps the feet fresh and odour free! Sold. :D After having wore them for nearly 12+ hours, still feel as comfy as they were when I started out and the best part, I do not have to wash them ever so often! They stay clean, and that saves up space & time on tours. Very nifty! The fit is immaculate, go by the manufacturers sizing. The quality is top notch, with no loose threads whatsoever. You can choose the socks from a choice of three different paddings, typically LD, MD, and HD(Low, medium and high density). I got the MD one and is sufficient for daily walks, runs, climbs, jumps etc. In particular I love the Drymax branding. Make people envy you when you go shoe shopping! Also, these can be worn with safety boots and even sports shoes. They are a regular daily to wear socks.Do yourself a favour, dump those cotton socks and get Drymax. Your money will really be well spent.

I have 18" calves which make even the XL size socks pretty tight on my legs
I wear an 11 wide dress shoe and 11.5 wide athletic shoe. I have 18" calves which make even the XL size socks pretty tight on my legs. The drymax socks have eliminated the smelly feet that caused my wife's stomach to turn after a grueling 13 hour day at the office. My shoes and socks now smell fine whether siting behind my desk or on my feet most of the day. To make them comfortable on my over-sized calves I turn them down half way. I pair these with Clarks Unstructured dress shoes to keep my feet dry and comfortable every day at the office.

Feet Still Sweaty
Before you buy these socks after reading all of the positive reviews, please note that most of them state they do not have sweaty feet.I admit, I have sweaty feet and I wear dress shoes all day. After trying numerous different socks which claimed to wick away sweat and being disappointed, I had high hopes for these socks based on the reviews. Unfortunately although they are definitely better than wearing cotton socks, my feet are still wet with sweat at the end of the day.I am giving these socks two stars for the following reasons:1) They definitely did not work as expected2) They were much more expensive than competitors3) Once I took my feet out of my shoes, they were dry within 3 minutesSo, if you have sweaty feet, these work about the same as any other wicking sock. As long as you get a chance to take your shoes off for about 5 minutes once or twice a day, I would consider them good socks. However, the steep price compared to other wicking socks makes them not worth it. If the price was cheaper, I would buy these socks again.

Great Quality Sock. Size Can Be Problem.
I use "Drymax Maximum Protection Run Mini Crew Socks" for marathon and it works greatly (no blister, well dried, no oder and comfortable). Knowing this brand I ordered this "Drymax Men's Dress Crew Socks". As expected it is great sock. Only thing that needed to pay attention it the size. My man shoe size is 9.5 US. I use Drymax size M(6 - 8) it fits perfectly. I did use size L(8.5 - 10.5) one time and it is too large (Go figure).

Keep your feet dry!
I had a pungent foot condition called pitted keratolysis. The whole room stunk whenever I took my shoes off. This condition does not go away by itself. By using these socks to keep my feet dry and over the counter topical 10% benzoyl peroxide, l banished this foot condition without an expensive doctor’s visit. The manufacturer suggests that you don’t use a fabric softener, which would sabotage the hydrophobic layer that pushes the moisture away from the feet.

Best socks for everyday use!
I was looking specifically for these socks and I was finding it really difficult to get them in the UK. The socks are great, I always wore a cotton mix sock which in boots would end up damp by the end of the day. These socks stay dry all day and feel great. They are slightly thicker than a standard dress sock, more like a sports sock thickness, but that's exactly what I was looking for.As they come from America the sizing is a little different. There is a UK conversion for Drymax however I found it to be a little off. It recommends for a UK size 8 to go for a large, however I previously bought a large pair of Drymax socks and found that they were on the big side. I went for a medium and they fit perfectly.Another thing to note is that as these are coming from America you will have to pay UK import tax (20%) and Royal mail will add on an extra £8 for the service. I ordered 10 pairs of socks and paid £8.20 in import tax and £8 to Royal Mail, however even with this the socks were still much cheaper that you can get in the UK.I've had constant communication with Botach Tactical and they have been a pleasure to deal with, I would highly recommend them and will likely be purchasing from them again in the future!
