An aluminum frame, front and rear disc brakes for $300!
I have to admit I was a bit nervous about ordering this given the multiple bad reviews but it was hard to resist an aluminum frame mountain bike with front and rear disc brakes for less than $300. Previous reviewers were quick to say that this was cheap and not worth it. I really don’t understand how they can make a general conclusions about this based on what sounded like a simple flat tire or shipping damage in some cases. Anyway, on to my experience. The box was quite beat up. Maybe the manufacturer could improve the corrugated a bit so that the box arrives without looking like it was in a battle. The good news is everything inside was fine and there were no missing parts. The bike went together quite easily and I had no issues with anything. Paint quality was good even though they were a few little nicks here and there. I was happy to find Shimano shifters and rear derailleur. I did remove the tires to ensure that the rim strip was covering all the spoke holes as I did not want to deal with having to buy a new tube. Glad I did because the front wheel did have the rim strip a little off center. I centered it and aired up the tire easily. It took me about 20 minutes to remove the packaging and finish the assembly. It was easy but I have some experience from assembling bicycles in the past. I have not done a proper ride on dirt but a quick ride around my neighborhood tells me that I made the right choice. If you’re looking for a great value and don’t mind checking a few things you will not be disappointed.

Solid frame, decent first bicycle for light use.
Value for money. Great bike. Packaging could be improved. Two spokes were slightly bent but I managed to fix it. Rear derailleur is not the best but for this price I am not complaining.Took two hours to assemble. Instructions are detailed and highly recommended to READ BEFORE ASSEMBLY.Before you begin assembly make sure you have all recommended tools as mentioned in the instruction manual.Folks that have had bad experience with chain/derailleur, my guess is that they didn’t do proper chain alignment. Without proper alignment the derailleur WILL mangle with the rear tire and could result in injury. Don’t expect for chain and derailleur to be aligned out of the box. After much efforts I managed to get the front gears 2-3 working. Front 1 isn’t smooth.Rear 2-6 gears working but 1 and 7 are not reliable. I am sure it is because of my inability to properly align the hardware and average quality parts.I could take it to a local bicycle repair shop and have them fix it but I don’t feel like spending more money on it right now.Tires are average quality and I don’t expect them to last too long but I only plan to ride in my neighborhood or the park so let’s see how long they hold up.Seat is average quality and I may upgrade to gel seat later.I will hopefully update the review after I have had it for a month or two.I am 6’2 and 245 lbs the bicycle carried me well. My son is 6’ and 180 lbs. He loves it.

Amazon Warehouse Deal!!
This was the best deal I’ve gotten on Amazon! I got a used one that someone returned due to damaged packaging, and ended up with a brand new bike at 75% off. Amazon Warehouse can really save you money, and as a prime member you can return for free with no risk. I am really happy and love the look and feel of the bike. The shimano and vitesse parts make this bike feel much more premium than its selling price. Nice wheels and great gear shifters! The brakes are a little weak and I may replace the fork for a stronger one, but this is a great mtn bike.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!!!
9 month update: I've not had 3 different shops attempt to get this bike to work as advertised. Brakes finally function and the wheels are straight, but the shifting still only allows 18 of 21 gears to be used. The company's response now is "Your bike was on warrantied for 6 months so you're on your own". DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE!!!!Well, after having this bike for a month and not being able to get the derailleur (Front or rear) to function properly nor the brakes to work correctly, I realized I was outside of the return window and contacted the manufacturer. I have been given the runaround for 2 weeks now after submitting video evidence that both front and rear wheels are bent. They have stopped responding once they received this information. AVOID THIS BIKE AND MANUFACTURER LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! You're better off getting something local with an actual warranty than spending $300 on something that looks nice, but is nothing more than a paperweight. If you do decide to purchase, plan on spending an additional $80-100 to have the bike "tuned" by a local shop to get the shifter components and brakes to function assuming your wheels aren't bent as well. I have now had this bike for almost 3 months and haven't been able to ride it once...

Worth the money
I guess it’s the luck of the ship. My bike came well packed without damage. Assembly was pretty straight forward and I only had a couple of small “issues” My one criticism is with the number of different size hex keys needed. Kept having to go back and finding the right size.I did need to adjust the brakes and the front shocks are a bit “soft”, but not enough to trash the bike.I’ve gotten 4 rides under my belt and feel the bike performs as expected and I am very happy with my purchase.

Damaged
Came in a damaged box. It was missing the pedals and scratched up. I would have returned it but it was out of stock and the ones like it were double the price. We cut our losses and put pedals on it.

In horrible shape. Don’t buy used
The media could not be loaded. Don’t buy used!! The package for one was in complete disrepair and open. The neck on the bike would not tighten down and had a lot of play in it, the front rim was bent, and the seat was missing.
