These fit our 2005 FX35 perfectly! And, they really work well. Took about 25 minutes to take off and replace. The hardest part, like others have said, is putting the covers back on. I got them back on. Not sure if they're perfectly on, but they're on. LOL! I'm really happy with this product. Should have done this a long time ago. I'm really glad I found the ones with brackets included, because the brackets on the existing ones, were installed not to come off very easily or not at all. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who is looking for lift support struts for their liftgate.

Do not buy. Product already failed in less than 7 months. Buy original INFINITI parts. Now I will have to pay for installation a second time. Let's see if the company will refund or replace the lift gate support shocks.

Could there be a worse liftgate strut than this? Doubtful. Here's how it works: You unlatch your liftgate and begin pulling it open. You immediately find yourself in a tug-of-war with the liftgate struts. These things are supposed to help lift the gate, and hold it open. But you will find yourself battling against these struts to get your gate open. They are fighting against you as you try to open the gate. When the gate gets about half way open, they will start to lift the gate on their own. The problem at this point is that it takes about 10 seconds to open the second half of the lift gate range. If you want to speed that process up, you are out of luck. No matter how hard you push to open the gate faster, it is to no avail. You will be battling against the struts. If you push hard enough, the strut breaks by the ball pivot. That's what happened to mine. Worst struts ever. What a joke! Should have gone OEM. Now, I will get some OEM to round out my second lifgate strut purchase in two months. No returns accepted at this point, of course, since it's been over 30 days.

Has the brackets prefitted makes install really easy
