Good value, roughly same brightness as 300 watt tubular halogen
So far one year trouble-free. Little unusual application here. Converted a halogen torchiere dating from 1992 to metal halide, roughly equal to the 300 watt halogen that I knew and loved in the 1990s as a child. Easy on the power bill and the last bulb lasted about 4 years of almost daily use. Ballast, ignitor and capacitor in the gray metal box,
