Buy! They work! So durable and fit!
Amazing! Buy now! Total game-changer for my dog that had a vestibular episode the beginning of December and it has caused more weakness and shaking in her back legs. Morso on her left hind leg. I had no idea that something like this was so readily available and affordable. She is 16 years old and a boxer- husky mix but only 68 lbs that she carries more up in her chest and neck. But I would recommend buying a pair so their on both either back legs or front legs. Has given her so much more confidence on walks, stairs, running around in the yard. And, gives us as owners the feeling their safer and stable. Think of it like when we wear an elbow brace or a wrist or knee brace when you play sports/activities for added support and/or past injuries. Helps our pups the same way. And I will also say to buy these at the first sign of any pain or weakness or shaking they have in their legs. We take them on and off her all day for walks in the stairs and the velcro is still super strong and they do not stretch out. Even hand washed and air dried numerous times and still great. Definitely buying many more to have on hand because she is active daily and she also looks adorable and sporty in them.

Stability and Support for Hock Chondritis Reduces Pain
My English Springer Spaniel is extremely active in spite of a diagnosis of chondritis of her back right leg hock, which is equivalent to our ankle. The pain doesn't stop her so by the end of the day, she is unable to weight bear at all on that leg or paw. It makes me so sad.The vet offered no suggestions, so I tried this brace. She weighs 50 pounds so I bought the medium size and the velcro adjusts perfectly to fit her. I was worried that she would chew it off in about a minute because, at one and a half years old, she is still a heavy chewer. We put it on while giving her a treat and she completely ignored it! It is easy to apply, stays in place and she is now wearing it all day and then we take it off at night. It is now part of her daily routine: collar on, brace on, breakfast and GO!Every day is an active day for Poppy HRC McCrae and most days she no longer limps! I am pretty sure this little brace is what is helping her be her best athletic self and have less pain by end of day. She is not self-conscious at all about wearing an ankle brace to the park because the other dogs just think she is a jock.I will likely buy another one to have a back up; I don't want her to be without it anymore.I am sorry for my pup that it took me so long to figure this out. Next time we're at the vet, I'll inform my vet as he needs some therapeutic interventions up his sleeve, too.Thank you for your product! It really helped Poppy.Best,Paulette

Good alternative to fancier braces on mild sprains
I wasn't exactly sure what the problem area was for my yellow lab and neither was the vet, but we suspected a minor ACL/CCL sprain. There wasn't really any issues walking for him, it was more jumping and when he would stretch out. Since we weren't sure I didn't want to spend a ton of money on one of the fancier braces, so I would see how he would do with this. It took some getting used to for him for sure, he kind of did that weird prance walk on his leg, but I think it definitely helped stabilize that part of the leg to help him heal better. I left it on during the day when he was most active and took it off of him at night.Fair warning here: You kind of get what you pay for with this in terms of the quality. I had been using the brace for about a week and half. I think it was mostly my fault because I maybe had it on a little tight on this particular day, but it did leave an irritation around the joint one day where the skin was rubbed raw and left a minor cut on my dog's leg. I would just be careful on making sure to avoid that if you use the brace.Overall though I think it did help though and my dog was back to normal after some anti-inflam from the vet and this brace after a few weeks.

This is NOT FOR ACL Injuries!
I blame myself for not REALLY looking closely at all of the product photos (which adequately illustrate this "support" brace does NOT reach the knee - not even close). What I did do was read all of the reviews - and because I kept seeing people say that this brace provided support for dogs with ACL injuries - I thought - "Ok, maybe I'll try it". I measured my dog's leg and ordered the X-Small based on the size chart provided by the company. That was my 2nd mistake. It was WAY too tiny, even for my small dog (papillon x dachshund mix, 20 lbs). The diameter was correct, however, the length is just WAY TOO SHORT, even for my short legged dog. The X-small is really for teacup breeds, which mine is not.As for the brace - there is NO way this will provide any comfort, support or relief for your dog's ACL injury! Please do NOT buy it for that - and ignore all reviews stating it magically helped their dog's ACL tear.It CAN'T. It DOES NOT REACH THE KNEE!It CANNOT stabilize the knee in ANY way.If your dog has an injury to the hock area - it would likely provide some support.I'm giving 3 stars because the neoprene fabric just doesn't provide the stretch and thickness needed to provide the right compression that will make any difference. If it was just a bit more elastic, it would be less likely to slide down the leg. I'm not sure neoprene is the right fabric for this - but the concept is great. Also disappointed that the length is just way too short to provide any stabilization from the knee to the hock, which needs to be clarified in the product description. I'm providing an illustration of the location of the knee vs the location of the brace so that if you're thinking of buying this for your ACL-INJURED dog - this is not the right brace for that.I'm trying to figure out how to return it - no receipt in the package!
