Puppyhood Deck: 50 Tips for Raising the Perfect Dog

Cesar Milan's knowledge and practices really help. We continue to research on U-Tube for training tips as our dog matures.

Not a wealth of new info for people who have grown up with dogs or watched a lot of Cesar Millan. Still, they are good for a quick reference, for a refresher, or for ppl who don't have time to sit down with a book. while they haven't been much help to me, these have been especially great to read with my toddler, only 2 yrs old and with a new puppy of his own. He walks around with the box and pulls them out to look at the pictures and hands them to me to read to him as we sit by the puppy crate. only about the thickness of playing cards so I dont expect them to look new for long in the hands of my toddler (still lasting better than a book with thin pages though). Our biggest problem has been making sure we are not slowly losing cards around the house (esp since one of our cats has shown interest in chewing on them and has done more damage to them than my toddler).

In a nut shell, in hard card by card everything about your new puppy to the adulthood. The cards are not too big and not too small and the print is easy to read. From the preparation of the home to greet your new member of your family, through the vaccinations, importance of early training, housebreaking, crate training, which he is big enthusiast, the dog vs human psychology and the differences, basic approach for the new owners how to treat your pet and its instinctual pack behavior and how to keep yourself to be your dog pack leader to maintain your dog confidence and his/hers obedience. Most important issues of your new puppy raising at your home. Great idea, Cesar!

If you are getting a new puppy this is a great quick reference. I purchased both this deck and the book by Cesar, "How to raise the perfect dog". Since I Iove Cesar and his training philosophy on working with dogs the book provided a lot of info on his history as well as training techniques, the same ones you will find in these quick reference cards. So if you don't have time to read the whole book this is the perfect substitute.

This product would probably be really great for someone who has never owned a dog before.I purchased it because I am considering adopting another dog in the next year or so, and have not raised a puppy since getting my dog Otto--now 7 years old. I was thinking that this deck would be a great refresher, and it did have some useful tidbits that I had pushed to the back of my mind, but overall it is basically a compilation of basic, common sense knowledge that can be easily acquired from the internet, a veterinarian, or an obedience trainer. Like I said though, I can see it being helpful for first-time dog owners to have all of this information organized and in one place.

I love Cesar's training methods, but I don't always have time to sit down and read the whole book on training. This flash card deck was such a huge help when I got my little Cavalier King Charles Toy Spaniel and Coton de Tulear mix puppy (CavaCoton)! It was really easy for me to just grab a flash card whenever I needed it and training was so much easier! I am really glad I bought these flash cards and I would recommend them to anyone considering getting a puppy, or if you already have one and need a little boost on your training.

Set up like a set of flashcards with the topic on the front and the explanation on the back. High quality materials and easy to understand. I carry them with me everywhere I think I will have an extra minute. Very informative although my puppy trainer does not agree with everything.

These cards have helped us better understand our puppy. Therefore, we are able to properly train her.

These cards are a good idea for quick reference if there is a certain problem that needs to be sorted with your puppy, and you don't want to flick through pages and pages of the book. They are a condensed down, bullet point version of his book of the same name. These are a good idea if you have read the book, as they just jog your memory. The book goes into a lot more detail so I recommend you read that too.

This product is useful as it is in the format of seperate cards which can be accessed for various topics. Useful if you want some quick advice on a particualr aspect of owning a puppy.

Not sure of its content, as brought for a member in the family for christmas. Hope they will find this deckhelpful.

Don't waste ur money , I've other CM books they're great this is total rubbish
