More like watercolors! Toddler Approved! 🖍
The media could not be loaded. I’ve tried regular bath crayons by Alex Rub a Dub before, and HATED them. Those had drawn well at first, but were impossible to remove because they were hard and waxy. They also cracked and expanded after being in water a few times. We normally use munchkin bath crayons because they write well and remove easily without staining. Lately, my 2 year old has been removing the crayon portion from the plastic holder. This star looked promising because it didn’t look like he could break it. I was right! This crayon is COMPLETELY different from any others we’ve tried (including the same brand’s individual bath crayons). They remind me of watercolors! They draw OK when dry, but if you add a little bit of water they color easier and have a water color or paint effect. The best part? All you have to do is rinse it clean from the tub! No scrubbing! I simply pour water over his drawings & it washes right off. I’ve even shown him how to use a paintbrush in the tub to paint over his scribbles, just like watercolor pencils! This is much smaller than I expected, but perfect for his tiny hands to hold. If you watch the video I attached, you’ll see that he can even draw with multiple colors at the same time! It *DOES* draws on skin, so beware… Your little one may be covered (which means you might, too!). Luckily it rinses clean & doesn’t stain. He loves painting his nails with this 😂. The colors are bright, and you can even see the yellow on a white tub.I’ve seen other reviews and pictures showing these disintegrating. Most likely they were left in water too long, or not sat out to dry between baths. I always put it up on one of our bath cups to completely dry and drain. So far, it hasn’t disintegrated or gotten weird looking like other reviews.I’ll definitely re-order this. Great deal and cheaper than Walmart.Hope this helps! 👍🏼

Kids love it! Type A parents might want to scroll past this one though.
Pros: The marks are REALLY bright and show up super well. It's great for alphabet, numbers, spelling, and just plain ol' making art in the tub.Cons: The marks and really bright and show up super well, and don't come off with a simple rinse of water. If you're a parent who doesn't mind leaving your tub dirty after kids take a bath, this might be perfect for you. I'm a Type A mom with a bit of cleaning OCD, so I am not keen on it. At the end of the bath, when our tub/shower combo is covered in bright scribbles, we had to do some relatively major elbow grease to get the marks off. Combination of a rinse PLUS a washcloth. The water turned a dingy pink/brown color, which was kind of gross for a bath, but the kids didn't seem to mind. The hardest part is keeping the "crayon" off the kids' bodies. We would get the kids all clean and take them out of the tub only to find a hidden streak of pink crayon or blue scribbled on their bodies, and they'd have to go back into the tub for more scrubbing. We got to where we'd let them play with the crayon (we bought one for each kid after the first one became fodder for tub fights) until they were shampooed and clean, then we'd take them away so they didn't continue marking on themselves. In short, I like this, and it's a great gift to give a kid that isn't yours. Niece, nephew, grandkid -- perfect. So long as you're not the one cleaning up the marks, it's a great toy. :) I probably won't buy any more for my kids though. I guess that's me being a bit OCD though. :-)

Fun But Leaves Ring in Bathtub, Wish I Could Give 2.5 Instead of 3 Stars
I bought this for my 23 month old daughter and she absolutely loves it. We've had it for about a month and it won't run out soon. It draws well and the colors are vibrant. My primary complaint about this crayon is that it leaves a ring in the tub that is very hard to clean. When you write with the crayon it wipes off easily, but the crayon residue in the water leaves a ring in the tub that is very difficult to clean. I haven't tried using any chemical cleaners because I don't want to use anything toxic in my child's bathtub but so far I can't get the ring to come off completely. And this problem occurs every time you use the crayon, so you constantly have a new ring to try to scrub. This is on a standard builder-grade, fiberglass tub surround, so the surface is very smooth. I would not risk letting my daughter draw on the tile surrounding our master tub because I think it would stain the grout.I am also disappointed that this crayon has stained my daughter's foam bath alphabet letters. When the crayon comes in contact with a letter, it gets permanently stained. One other comment is that it was smaller than I thought it would be. The listing says that it's 6.8 x 5.1 x 0.1 inches. I didn't really expect it to be nearly 7 inches but those must be dimensions for the packaging itself because the yellow plastic part of the crayon is only about 1.75 inches across.Overall I'm glad I made the purchase but I am not likely to replace this crayon once it's gone.

I think she's pretty intrigued by how its an all-in-one crayon and I ...
My 3 yr old daughter loves this. She uses it in the tub and on my tile shower walls and glass wall. I think she's pretty intrigued by how its an all-in-one crayon and I like not having bath crayons all over my shower floor to slip on. I also like that its pretty baby safe unlike a pointy crayon. The colors show up well; she got frustrated with other crayons that didn't. However, this crayon works so well that it did permanently stain doll hair. I didn't really mind since she only has older dolls and my little ponies in the tub. They didn't have nice hair anymore anyway. This crayon has lasted a while too. It probably gets used a couple times a week, moreso when she first go it.The color comes off of tub and shower walls easily with a loofah (the round fluffy plastic ones) but on the glass you can see traces of markings in the right light. A magic eraser or microfiber window cloth takes that off. I will say from past experience, I wouldn't buy bath crayons if your tile or stone walls are light in color and heavily textured with any nooks and crannies. It's a real pain to clean. Buy bath finger paint instead.

Not worth $
It was fun while it lasted. As the colours wore they started falling out and I had to scrub with soap or a mr. clean sponge to get the colour off our tub.

am afraid this was the worst so far
I've tried a few different bath crayons now, am afraid this was the worst so far. They are too soft, too close together so the colours run into each other, and it leaves so much mess, rather than a clean line or drawing. Plus it's not easy to clean off and stains. As someone else said, they colour the water which makes you want to re-bath the children.

Three Stars
Beware, this will stain the grout between your tiles. Otherwise it washes off everything else.

Unimpressed
Crayons too soft. Poor quality. Would not recommend.

Fun bath toy
Our 2 year old loves these, and they are easy to clean up. They won't melt as long as you don't let them sit in the water. We have had them for a couple of months and there is still lots left.
