Red & Green Hawaiian "Good Luck" Ti Plant Starter Logs

After a month these little guys popped out at the same time on the same day. Trick is to not burry deep .... just cover logs with half inch of soil not packed down, water lightly every day. I put them in a one gallon nursery pot, but as I said don't bury deep under. One has a red tip and the other green... very cute so far. UPDATE.... They are coming up great BUT the REDS on is NOT RED it has red edges. I really wanted a fully red Ti plant and after planting 4 red and 4 green..... none are red so taking 2 stars off.

I received the Ti sticks first week in October 2019. Followed directions and to this day, absolutely nothing. I have grown these before. Yes, they can be slow taking off. However, these Ti sticks produced nothing. The Ti plant I grew years ago grew to be tall and actually bloomed. Powerful scent, but nice. Very disappointed. I rarely give reviews and waited to give these Ti sticks a chance. Money down the drain.

It smelled foul and sour, felt squishy, contained mold, and the packaging was so wet, the bark scraped off, no matter how careful I was. Because of this easily sloughed off bark, I’m not sure how healthy the plant is I’ve propagated ti leaf before so i know what it’s supposed to look/feel/be like. Nothing from this experience mimicked the experience I had before.I’ve placed both in water and will provide an update in the future on the plants growth and/or health of these foul smelling, moldy sticks lol.

Received the two Ti plant cuttings/logs. Followed the directions and they are beginning to develop the “eruptions” for the roots and the stems. The pictures are at the 3 week mark. One picture is of the tops of the cuttings. The other is of the bottom of the red Ti cutting. The medium I am experimenting with is “water beads” or also known as crystal soil. Very happy with this purchase. I will update as it progresses.

I have had this for several weeks, planted in a pot. They are both starting to grow, although the green is actually sprouting leaves while the red just has buds. It is a fine balance to keeping it moist, while not overwatering/letting it dry out.

It took over one month for them to get started but Yes! Both red and green have sprouted. It really took a long time for them to sprout. I had to scrape of the coloring on the ends for them to get going. It's now 8 months after planting and the plants are alive and growing slowly.

came in good condition but ask me a few months to see if it growing and living in the house. sorry for the reason but just received and got all the good pots and dirt recommendedstill waiting for the blooms or the leaves to come through,

did what they said, put them in half soil. watered a little everyday.(also how do they expect you to cut off the wax? like a have a chainsaw in my apartment. it was a struggle with a kitchen knife.)zip. zero. nada. one month. not a root or a bud or tendril. nothing.
