How to Seduce a Duke: 1 (Royle Sisters)

A silly plot
I couldn't get into this after the the silly opening sequence which sees the heroine and her two sisters covered with white powder and posing as statues in next door's garden in order to spy on guests at a party. It was just too ridiculous for me. The main plot sees the hero believing the heroine is a gold-digger out to marry his brother despite the fact that the brother quickly loses interest in her.

Average
Didn't find the old rakes club a necessity of characters - seventy yr old's as rakes? I thought they weaked the plot. In my opinion the triplets weren't in a close relationship, either

Neither trusts the other but can they love each other?
Mary loves Quinn, but his brother Rogan does not trust her motives. She dislikes Rogan because he is a rake of a duke getting between Quinn and her. Can they(Rogan and Mary) break through a wall that has come between them? Plus, to make things more interesting Mary, Anne and Elizabeth, her triplet sisters are supposed to be princesses but can’t prove it. It was interesting that they had those three names and their last name was Royle! Good plot. Makes you want to believe it. That piece was left hanging. I would have liked resolution on that count. Read the book and you’ll understand my thought!

A true romance
Are usually Review a book by the emotions it brings forth. This book has a little different twist. There are villains, but not villains like you would think of. The villains in this book tried to hide the royal birth of a set of triplets. The sister is mainly about Mary only one of the triplets. And talk about ups and downs and twists. And love scenes romantic and sensual. I can’t wait to see the follow up books

Fun read. 31/2-4 stars
Not since "Rules Of Engagement" have I enjoyed a book more by this author. The heroine was delightful, the supporting cast just as enjoyable. Mary and her sisters are hilarious in their antics, however, Ms. Caskie allows Mary to shine. The story is Mary's and not `bogged down' with too many scenes involving her siblings. The driving scene is my favorite. The only issues I had, which are my personal preferences, were the story was told virtually from the heroine's point-of-view. I really wanted to know what was going on in Rogan's head. The plus side is with Ms. Caskie's talent in story telling, I almost didn't mind. I found the character of Mary extremely likeable and well-developed. Rogan's, however, was a disappointment. The love scenes were mild and I felt no sexual tension. That said, Ms. Caskie's writing is so talented, I couldn't help but read every word. "HTSAD" is just a tamer read than I am used to and many readers looking for this type of book will absolutely love it.
