Definitely repurchasing
High quality tea! I get about 4 solid sessions (roughly 6cups) out of a tablespoon-ish measurement. Im still learning. Initially I would heat filtered water in the microwave for 3minutes, dump over leaves, go do something, and then come back like 5-10 minutes later. I also drank the first cup. I didnโt realize I was abusing these high quality leaves. Soโฆ I wish someone had told me the following before I brewed my first TeaVivre cup: Leaf-to-Water Ratio: Use about 2-3 grams of tea per 100ml of water (roughly 1-2 tablespoons for a small teapot or gaiwan). ยท Water Temperature: 80ยฐC - 85ยฐC (176ยฐF - 185ยฐF). Boiling water will scorch the leaves and make later steeps bitter and flat. ยท Steeping Times: ยท First steep: 60-90 seconds (to "wake up" the leaves and release the initial aroma). ยท Second steep: 30-45 seconds (often considered the best, most balanced infusion). ยท Third steep: 45-60 seconds. ยท Subsequent steeps: Increase time by 15-30 seconds each time. Listen to your palateโsteep until the flavor is gone. ยท Don't Let Leaves Sit in Water: After each steep, pour out all the tea liquor. Leaving the leaves stewing will exhaust them and ruin subsequent cups. ยท You Can Drink It All Day: One set of leaves can be your companion for a morning or afternoon. Just add hot water when you're ready for the next cup. ยท Re-steeping Later: It's best to use the leaves within 12-24 hours. If you need a longer break, gently cover the damp leaves (in your strainer or pot) and refrigerate them to prevent spoilage, but try to finish them the next day. What Not to Do ยท Avoid a Single Long Steep: Using a small amount of leaves for one 5-minute steep will extract everything at onceโincluding bitter compoundsโand leave the leaves useless for a second cup. ยท Don't Use Boiling Water: This is the fastest way to destroy the subtlety and reusability of green tea. If this seems like too much to do for tea, then I highly recommend Tea Pigs Mao Fang. It will not taste as good as Tea Vivre, but it does taste better than most green teas on the market, it is more convenient and comes in entirely plant based packaging (tea temple and all). If you do the above steps, I have found this TeaVivre green tea to be absolutely delicious with almost a sweet note. Up until finding TeaVivre, I didnโt realize green tea could taste this good. In general I drank it like a whale shark eats plankton in order to โget it over withโ because in the past I was drinking the green tea for its benefits. Now, thanks to TeaVivre, I can enjoy the benefits, and it actually tastes delicious!

The finest quality!
Iโve purchased this Teavivre Organic Superfine Dragon Well (Long Jing) green tea multiple times now, and it continues to impress. The quality is consistently excellent. The flavor is exactly what you want from a good Long Jingโsmooth, fresh, and clean with a really nice nutty, slightly toasty character. It doesnโt have any bitterness when brewed properly, just a balanced and refreshing taste thatโs easy to keep coming back to. The leaves themselves look high quality and brew up beautifully. You can tell care went into sourcing and handling this tea. I also appreciate the people behind the brandโthe service has always been great and they seem to genuinely care about their product and customers, which goes a long way. Overall, this is a top-quality green tea that I keep reordering. If you enjoy Long Jing, this is definitely worth trying.
