Tracey Mallett-Svelte U Workout Two

Really fun, with a nice combo of cardio, toning, and stretching
I love Tracey Mallett, and have all of her Booty Barre workouts, as well as some others that she's put out. Although the price is a bit steep on these two new Svelte U workouts, they're a lot of fun, and I'm really glad I bought them to add to my workout collection. In terms of how to use these two new workouts, on her Instagram account, Tracey said that you should alternate the two workouts, doing one per day, and that if you need more focus on the glutes, you can make the third day of your rotation a Booty Barre workout. Someone on Instagram also asked her if the workouts are meant to be done in their entirety or broken up, and she said that the goal is to do all 60 minutes if you can. That being said, the main menu is a little frustrating in that there is no option to play all three segments. After you finish each one, Tracey ends the workout, and the DVD takes you back to the main menu, where you have to select the next workout to do. It would have been so much nicer to have had a "Play All" option. The backdrop for both Workout One and Workout Two is a warehouse-style building, and Tracey does the workouts on her own, with no background exercisers. Because of that, there are no modifiers, but I've found that it's pretty easy to figure out how to modify any exercises that might be troublesome. I really like the set, and creates a nice vibe to the workouts. Tracey is in amazing shape, which is always very motivating.Workout Two clocks in at about 60 minutes, and you'll need optional weighted gloves and a mat to do the workout. The first segment of this is the cardio workout, and Tracey has you doing various cardio drills (while wearing the weighted gloves) for twenty minutes. After that, you'll move into twenty minutes of toning, in a segment that also uses the gloves. For the last twenty minutes, you'll take off your shoes, and do a yoga-inspired section that incorporates both toning and stretching. The cardio in Workout Two wasn't as fun for me as the cardio in Workout One, but I still enjoyed it, and using the weighted gloves adds an extra layer of "oomph" to the workout.I would rate the level of this workout as intermediate. While it's not as hard as something by Cathe Freidrich, Fusion Fitness, or Tonique, it's pretty challenging, and the cardio segment left me feeling like I got a good workout.A huge thank you to Tracey for putting out DVD's for those of us who haven't moved to streaming workouts or downloads. I plan on alternating these two for the next two weeks, and will be sure to update this with my results.

Want to Get Your HeartRate Going? This Svelte U #2 Video Is a Great 20 Min Workout!
Wow. This workout DVD kicks butt. I had # 1 and read all the reviews and hesitated buying #2.... because of intensity. I should not have worried. I have worked into #2 really well. The first workout in the #2 DVD is very cardio driven and features a lot of older cardio dance type moves. If you have any VHS videos, these moves won't surprise you. You will sweat! Your heartrate will go up! And for 20 minutes, you can handle that. I love both DVDS. I have lots of Tracey Mallett workouts... and the Svelte U ones are awesome. The mix well with other workouts I have and when I want to do something quick, this is ideal. If I want something longer, I start with Svelte U and then go into barre work or something like that. Love these DVDs.

Not for me
This workout was way too dance-y for my taste and did not supply enough of a calorie burn. I really dislike overly dance like cardio. The difficulty level seems geared more toward someone new to fitness (so this might be a good video for you if you are new to working out and enjoy a more dance like vibe to your aerobics). I need something more difficult with more straightforward cardio moves.

not a big fan
i have her other DVD's, but Svelte U DVD's disappointed me. They are more of a beginner class, she should have noted that. Also she is good at the technique so there is really no need to add 20 minute regular yoga practice. It is not even yoga since she is not emphasizing breath. I wish fitness teachers focus on their stuff, yoga is yoga, barre is barre, they are separate. When I want to do barre workout, that's all i want. I do my yoga separately.

I LOVE Tracey and her workouts
I LOVE Tracey and her workouts! I started with Svelte One and Two and liked them so much that I've since bought 3 more. She's adorable, I love her style of teaching, and the workouts are challenging but doable AND EFFECTIVE.

Can't go wrong with Tracey's workouts!
Have almost every Tracey M's dvd's! Love her teaching and energy and routines. I have worked out to these dvd's 3 times now. I still enjoy her barre workouts but it is nice to have a change.

Too Difficult
It's a bit too advanced for me. Many of the moves are difficult for me, I may use them once I master the first DVD.
