Shark WandVac 2.0 Cordless Handheld Vacuum Cleaner, Blue WV270UK

This is a brilliant little handheld vacuum cleaner. It feels really well made, not flimsy at all. Very easy to use and has really great suction, gets into all the nooks and crannies and makes those annoying jobs such as crumbs, spilt sugar and kitty litter quick and easy easy to sort out. Sits in its charger so always fully charged and ready when needed. The dirt box is small but its only used for small jobs so that is fine, it's quick to empty and the filter can be lifted up quickly and easily cleaned underneath, I use a brush for this. I was going to get the grey one because it doesn't have the filter in the dirt bin but I decided that the most important things are suction and run time, this is 50% more powerful and runs for 15 minutes instead of 8 minutes on the grey, Its easy to empty so not a problem really. I also got some spare filters from Amazon so the filter can be swapped over when one needs to be washed, they need to be fully dry when putting back and who's got the time to wait !? One important thing to note is that the battery can easily be replaced, so when it eventually dies it can be unscrewed and a new one put in. That is excellent. It actually looks like a wine bottle when it’s sitting in its dock, looks smart and sleek. Great item that is a game changer. I'm really glad I bought this and I think it's well worth the sale price of £130. I love it.

Great little hoover ideal for the vac wish it had more attachments but very pleased with the suction and the ability to get into very small area the battery life seems good so very pleased with performance of this hoover

This is an EXCELLENT product. The main concerns I had in sourcing a handheld vacuum cleaner, were: 1. Would the suction be powerful enough? 2. Would it be compact and sufficiently lightweight? 3. Would the price be right? 4. Would it be aesthetic enough to be ‘on display’ (for prompt and efficient access)? Well, here we go: 1 - Yes, the suction is surprisingly powerful even on the default setting. Using the ‘turbo-boost’ button increases what is already ample for everyday use. 2 - Very compact and ergonomically pleasing and comfortable to use. However, although I find it very lightweight, I can imagine there may be some people (particularly 'of slight-physique’ women) who may find it heavy for constant use without a break, but… who knows. 3 - I think it’s a little on the pricey side, despite my assessment of it as a great product. 4 - Very aesthetically pleasing, supplied with an effective and nice charging cradle for supporting the wand and for storing the brush accessories (see photos). I can easily access the wand for quick use in my surgery rather than going to the hassle of having to drag my upright Shark model through and then take it back again. • Downside: Inside the dust-cup reservoir there is, either side of the filter, a deep gap in which dust, fluff, grime and all the other usual and expected guff can become trapped. These crevices don’t release the guff merely by opening the compartment as instructed, but have to be eked out using (in my case) a pencil. There is no dedicated tool supplied for this purpose… and that’s a shame. Although not a particularly huge deal, it does present for a somewhat lacking ‘non-feature’. This is very disappointing. Because of the high price and the lack of a suitable tool to eke out the trapped dirt, I’ve reduced what would otherwise be a 5* rating to a 4*. Nevertheless, I’d still recommend it, but with slight (only slight, though) reservation. Let’s say I’m 'ecstatically-pleased’ but with a small ‘minus’ attached.

Avoid! This is expensive and I don’t rate it. I’m a bit of a self obsessed hoover gal and have a collection of various types for cleaning. Where do I start?🧐. Positives- colour fab. Negatives- cumbersome and awkward to use. If you have arthritis of any form in hands, wrists, shoulder then this is not the one you need. It’s weight causes discomfort. The suction is, well meh!! For being the more powerful version. The, “easy open” dust collection is easy but you need to get into the sides of small filter as it does not clean out as advertised. The position of the on off switch is so light to the touch when you use it it’s more off than on causing serious frustration. I went back to my rechargeable stick hoover for small tasks as this did not fit the bill. This item is returned. C’mon shark you can do way better. So many design faults it’s not funny!

This is an excellent hand vac which is very variable and easy to use. We use it around the house and in the car. The standard section is good with the turbo option brilliant for more tricky jobs. Ignore the reviews which describe dust being difficult to remove along the sides of the filter. The whole filter unit flips up easily and then a gentle tap is all that’s needed to release anything. If you still need to clean it further, then the whole filter unit pulls out completely. It’s firmly clipped in so you need to do this correctly, but the instructions are available online. Just search Shark wv270uk Manual. I’ve only needed to do this once in the last 6 months of use, to clean out instant coffee granules that went sticky. My only improvement for this device would be a USB charger option - it’d then be perfect for using in a campervan. Highly recommended.

This is great for all the crumbs on the work tops/tables and going round the edges of tiled floors which is what I bought it for. It doesn't work well on carpets but I didn't expect it to and its not what I want to use it for. So as long as you respect its limitations which is hard surfaces it is great. Very good for uncarpeted stairs. Two things I don't like - the position of the lead which comes from the back so the lead is in the appliance as it faces you and had to wrap around the base to go to the plug which is messy - and the whole base is really flimsy and you can't replace the hoover with one hand and it is easy to tip over. Ok once you get used to it

Awkward to clean as you can't completely remove the filter and the flip up part that holds it in place. Suction is good, but battery life isn't great (which I was prepared for as per the spec). I only use this once, maybe a twice a week, and I use it till the battery dies, then just pop it back on its charging stand. Around the 1 year mark, it started to smell funny when used, like melting plastic, but I couldn't see anything wrong with it, and I clean it after every use so I ordered some new filters to see if that made a difference. It didn't.... Shortly after having it a year, it just stopped working. Thankfully amazon allowed me to return it and get a replacement, but I'm waiting to see how this one performs when it gets to a year old. If this was closer to £50 instead of £150 then I'd recommend it as it's easy to use, reasonably lightweight, and gets the job done within the 10-15 minute battery life, but at full price I'm not sure it's a great investment

This has almost the same suction power as my Shark upright vacuum cleaner. I have bought cheaper ones in the past and they do not have sufficient suction power, so spending the extra money was well worthwhile. A nice touch is that you can leave it on the charger base with no damage to the battery (according to their claims.) obviously I cannot vouch for that claim yet. The dirt holder is quite small, and because it is so efficient it fills up fast, which is not a problem as emptying it is also fast. Some reviewers have said they have to poke around the sides of the filter to get all the fluff and dirt out, but all you have to do is lift the filter holder up and it all falls out. One thing to do frequently is pull out the filter itself,(easy to do) and give it a knock on the side of the bin as it gets clogged up very fast. If you don't do that, the suction power will be reduced. It's all very quick and easy to do so no problem.

We ordered this product thinking it was new but the vacuum that arrived appeared to have been used. The chamber was full of dust and there was no filter in it. We were also missing attachments for the vacuum. This is a real shame as we already have one of these and they are excellent devices.
