Rain Chains DirectRain Chain Gutter Adapter/Installer in Milled Aluminum Finish

This item is well built and easy to install.

It just doesnt work as expected. It looked perfect for my gutters where the path to the downspouts was uphill and so i drilled a 2 1/4" hole in the new aluminum gutter at the corner low-point. I put silicon down around the hole and added the rain 'installer'. I attached a fairly solid chain from there to the ground. I then rain tested it with a hose. The rain goes everywhere with only a small amount coming down the chain. I backed up the chain into the unit to give more water-adhesion, but no difference. I thing the hole is way too big, but this has never been field tested and does not work as advertised, It just looks pretty.

Works great. Newly installed an have not had rain yet but hose tested with a standard garden hose which is 10 gallons per minute way more rain then I will ever see even in Seattle. Didn't even need to caulk it, had 2.5 hole drilled in gutter. Feel sorry for those posting not understanding how to install or center it. Drop it in unscrew the stud slide it out put the rain chain centered on stud and reattach, which is grooved in the middle and holds the top of the rain chain in place.....not rocket science folks. I will update review if I have any issues but aluminum doesn't rust, I expected to use Silicone caulk to seal but with the bucket style rain chain I have don't think I will bother.

My son did some home renovations and I suggested a rain chain off his new porch. So I bought everything and after installation it works perfectly. Great price.

Was looking forward to this and it might have worked but one of the screw ends was threaded crooked and the nut will not attach securely rendering the whole thing useless.
