Very emotional
This book broke my heart, to think and believe that people are living like this in this day and age is so depressing and mind blowing. I know it's not a true story but based on all the help Heather had from all the agencies involved in helping and coping with these poor victims is heart breaking indeed. Reading about present day Amy or Amber as she became, and the 6yr old Amy and the abuse she was subjected to by paedophiles instigated by her own mother is brutal. This book really affected me , it's a very hard hitting story definitely not for the faint hearted.A good one never the less.

My favourite of working girls books is this one !
Ambers story and how she got into prostitution is truly shocking!!You see her childhood past in detail alongside her present adult life as chapters flit between Amy the child and Amber the adult. Still living at home with her mum (guess who lol). Great read!!

Gritty thriller
Another great book in this series from Heather Burnside. It touches on some very sad issues... not just prostitution and alcoholism, but child abuse too. A painful read, but Burnsude makes you empathise with the characters too. Looking forward to the next one.
