Can it be installed vertical instead of horizontal inside my lorex nvr?

I don't see any reason why not. Mine is installed in a Lorex NVR, but as I recall, it mounts horizontally.

Will this work in a Desktop Computer ?

I had a bunch of issues with this in my desktop... I ended up sending it back and getting two of these Seagate FireCuda HDD 8TB Internal Hard Drive HDD - 3.5 Inch CMR SATA 6Gb/s 7200RPM 256MB Cache 300TB/year with Rescue Services (ST8000DX001)

Initial drive failed but vendor replaced it though at my own cost.

The product is not orginal

I don’t think that this is an original product. It fitted with difficulty also its not 8 TB its 7.27 TB also it’s not SATA 6 it’s SATA 1.
