Doesn't do fractions.
Doesn't have fraction read out like it I was expecting.Description clearly says "Electronic Vernier Caliper Inch/Metric/Fractions Conversion" Not sure how they can list fraction conversion when it doesn't have that feature.

From all the positive reviews I was just expecting something better.
Although my need for precision is not extreme, I noticed that it will not hold zero. Out of the box zeroing it out multiple times I find it will read -0.02 mm to 0.03 mm and occasionally change back to 0.00 mm after a second or two.From all the positive reviews I was just expecting something better.

Not for a machinist
Not for a machinist, these are sanded surfaces where sanded away the measuring surfaces is more like it. I can measure outsie diameters & depth not internal diameters or shoulder length. You can see the casting didn't reach where it wasTo be ground then they sanded it..junk. hey the electronics are accurate keep positive & smile. And hey again If that's all you need it beats the mitutoyo price . But comparisons should be made from 15 feet or you start to see the flaws in this pair of calipers

Great little tool. Worth the money
I bought this specifically for measuring the shim thickness during my valve adjustment on my motorbike. It worked wonderfully and was very accurate to at least within .02+/- valve adjustment went great and I'm back on the road! I will definitely be using this tool for many other applications and other valve adjustments in the future.

Nice improvement over analog.
I've been using plastic analog calipers, but this is a nice step up in apparent quality and ease-of-use. I really like it so far. Observation: The case could be better designed to firmly hold the screwdriver and perhaps an extra battery.

Poor Quality Manufacturing
Very poor quality construction and inaccurate. Opening and closing the jaws slowly does not return the display to zero. The case is not padded and for a precision measuring device, it is very poorly manufactured. See the attached photo of caliper slide retainer.

Not great quality overall.
I chose this one because it is a decent price and was one of the few that didn't have a lot of plastic parts.Build quality is pretty poor. All the stainless steel parts look like they were machined in a hurry. with visible burrs and unfinished edges.. There are also places with grease that won't come off and dirt stuck to the grease. The actual precision seems pretty good so far. Also does not do fractional inches, not that I really need it but the description says that it can do fractional and it can't. Not great quality overall.

buttons are easy to push
Very solid, well machined, buttons are easy to push. The slide mechanism is smooth and not sloppy. I only wish the locking thumb screw had a little larger diameter. Comes in a plastic case.
