It's really pretty, but it doesn't test as citrine it comes up in the glass range on a presidium II gem tester. The roundness of the edges and color uniformity and clarity etc tell me it's most likely glass, but it is pretty to look at. Just don't expect a natural citrine. For 9.99 it is a very nice looking Citrine colored glass gem. I think the seller could have made that more clear but it does say "Stone Name - Created Citrine" in the description. Still worth it for 9.99 I think despite the possibly misleading descriptions.

Philonious reviewed the citrine stone already and indicated that his testing for hardness came up with mohs equivalent of glass. My testing is also confirming his results. Glass hardness. But what do you expect for $10. Pretty glass piece that has some unusual characteristics. Jewelry worthy; probably not durable enough? From positive perspective, It has consistent interesting color and does have crystal characteristics from refraction aspects.

Semiprecious gem, and beautiful. Love looking at it refracting the light was marvelous. Good value.
