Best Kukri I’ve personally handled
I was delightfully surprised by the overall quality and craftsmanship of this blade. It is very sturdy, well balanced, and frankly beautiful. It came fully sharpened and lubricated and is ready to use right out of the box. Genuine leather sheath that fits the blade perfectly with a smaller knife as well as a sharpening tool included. It has a true full tang hand forged carbon steel blade and lovely rosewood handle with 3 rivets and a hole for a lanyard if you want to add one. The handle fits my hand perfectly (not too big, not too small). The pommel is an extension of the full tang blade rather than an additional welded on piece of metal and is brilliantly balanced with the overall construction making the feel directed to an impressive natural feeling chop and thrust. It’s fully capable of chopping wood as well as if not better than any hatchet I’ve ever handled and it almost feels like it drives itself into the chop and thrust. It’s slightly longer than the traditional 10 inch mark 2 (WWII model) which is a feature that makes it both a powerful combat tool as well as a very utilitarian camping, hunting, and adventure machete. I don’t often give 10/10 reviews but this is certainly a 10/10, truly authentic Nepalese, handmade beast of a blade. For the money it’s a surprisingly great value and I can tell that with the proper maintenance it’s a lifetime type blade. I’d highly recommend getting this one if you’re in the market for a Kukri and can confidently say that you’ll likely be delightfully surprised with the purchase.

very pleased with this knife
impressive knife ! this is definitely not a toy. significant heft with nice workmanship. the blade’s thickness, sharpness and craftsmanship are worth the extra money for this one. the sheath also feels durable and needs it to be, to protect the user from the sharp blade. shipping time turned out to be much less than estimated by amazon, a pleasant surprise. the included karda and chakmak are less impressive, but i will probably work just fine for their intended purposes. i believe this knife will last for years. if it does not, i will add updates to this post.

The Kukri, one of the world's most feared battle weapons
This is a fabulous, high quality, hand forged knife. It is large and heavy, if that is what you are looking for. It was feared by all enemies who encountered it. It would be a bargain at twice the price. I recommend it without reservation.

Pretty decent and functional for the money.
This knife is nicely crafted and has a good heft to it. The scabbard was tight and difficult at first, but seems to be wearing in nicely. The grip is really nicely made and comfortable. The edge was simply ground and not finished. It can with a substantial burr, but I would give a demerit for that as you’re going to have to learn to maintain an edge, so why not start by putting an edge on it to begin with. The sharpening tool it came with is a disappointment as you would expect it to have been tempered to a higher hardness than the blade, but based on trying to remove the burr with it, the sharpener experienced just as much wear as the burr. Not great. Haven’t really looked at the utility knife that came in the scabbard along with the sharpening tool. I suppose it would do what a little utility knife needs to do with some attention to the edge. Overall, I’m happy with this tool and would recommend it.

This knife is awesome.
Item arrived 10 days early, package it was excellent. Blade was wrapped in plastic wrap over grease. Razor sharp out of the box. It’s heavy but exceptionally well balanced with a satisfying hand feel. I give this my highest recommendation.

Simply awesome!!!
Not economical by any means, but well crafted and beautiful!!! The only bad thing is that it is too nice to be used in the yard.

Made out of melted engine blocks.
Really really really thick and clumsy. It really is a shame they didn't grind off a pound or so of metal . This would be a nice knife if it weren't a full 3/4 of an inch thick. Its ridiculously heavy and clumsy. Seems to be good metal though.
