I am glad I read this book because it made me realize that these beautiful dogs are not for everyone. They like to be a couch potato and enjoy the home life. So really someone that is retired or works from home is a better fit for these dogs. Lot's of care needed like frequent brushing and grooming. The book explains the average cost of good food for them and the care. Being able to afford a certain type of dog should be looked at before getting one and I am glad the writer reflected that information. Easy to understand book for adults and children.

An overview. Needed more on personality mand training tips

This Havenese Bible is a must have!! This book is very comprehensive and easy to follow. It is nice to get perspectives from various Havanese breeders as certain techniques work better for some. It spells out everything a new dog owner needs to know! The section on getting to know the history of this breed is helpful with raising your new puppy. This book is a great resource to have. I would recommend this handbook to all Havanese owners.

The Havanese is a beautiful little dog! My neighbor had one and we used to enjoy walking our dogs together. It's good to know the Havanese is suited to apartment life because of their size and that they don't bark a lot- which could be a nuisance to my neighbors! If you don't mind brushing the coat every couple of days, he will look as beautiful and silky as a Havanese show dog, as seen on page 114. The Havanese has won my heart after reading your book!

I didn't know much about this breed. It's the first book I read about Havanese dogs and it seems thorough and can be read easily.
