Wax melts in 3-5 minutes.Just avoid covering the heater with the plastic cover while is being heated.

I bought this wax heater specially for Rica wax. Once Rica wax is melted on stove with grill (which hardly take 1-2 min) on a medium to low flame, either pour a wax in wax heater (separate bowl) or keep the entire tin in wax heater on high. That high heat on wax heater will keep the wax in use able state.Note - you have to get rica wax melted on stove because this machine will not melt it.

I was apprehensive about using this heater for Rica wax. But I was pleasantly surprised. I got this heater for Rica Brazilian Wax with Avacado butter.I placed the Rica tin on an old tawa and heated it for 10-15 mins on the stove. When the wax was about 70% melted, I placed the tin in this heater. Since the wax on the sides of the tin was well melted after heating on the tawa, I was able to start the waxing process. In another 20 mins the other 30% of the unmelted wax also melted.I personally think that this heater is good for maintaining the temperature of the already melted wax. I won't recommend that you directly place the tin with cold wax inside the heater as it would take a lot of time to melt. Rica Brazilian wax is harder than the Rica liposoluble waxes. So, the benefit of using the tawa first was that it was faster.I also didn't see the point in heating the entire Rica wax tin every time I wanted to wax. So, from the second time, I transferred a bit of the melted wax into the inner tin of the heater. Now this can be reused multiple times. Smaller quantities can be directly heated in this heater and it is faster also.

I have been using this for almost a year now. Its a good and durable product. Working fine till now. I use it for bead wax for my chin, the temperature setting is easy to use and perfect. The removable aluminium pot inside is amazing,easy to clean. All in all a good product.

Not so good it came little faulty and it wont heat whole wax can we need to heat in stove and den keep it in this heater not worth the price
