Great value.
This worked great for my planer and table saw dust collection. I was worried but it worked out great.

No headline
Like that it can be attached to the wall thereby saving space in a small, confined shop. Suction power is better than most popular brand name shop vacs. Added the Oneida cyclone attachment and this prevents dust and other junk going into the dust bag. Would like to see more than 660cfm, just personal preference. Believe it's important to know for the Wen unit to fully be effective, the length of hose, the type of hose, and avoidance of right angle connectors will impede the suction power of this unit. Made several changes with the hose, etc. and the Wen is more than adequate in collecting the dust chips. Strongly suggest the Wen fine dust particle unit to go with this. Really helps the lungs.

Great for my small shop but..and it is all good
I bought this dust collector for my small shop. I out of the box it worked great on my planer and table saw. After 2 weeks of use, all of the sudden it wouldn’t turn on. I called Wen customer service, left my number and was called back in 10 minutes. I believe the gentleman’s name was Dave. He asked a few questions and stated that is was probably the switch and sent out a new one.I received the switch and put it on in a matter of minutes and it is working perfectly.I have read about how Wen’s customer service was inadequate but my experience they were outstanding. He said if the switch didn’t solve the problem they would replace the unit.I couldn’t ask for better customer service!

Hmmmm
First impressions are not great, first time turning it on and it launched out a big nut and makes ALOT of noise. Will update review after figuring out where the nut belongs and hopefully get to use this thing a bit.Update- after figuring out the mystery nut that came flying out was intended to hold the impeller on and replacing it it seemed to work decent except constant clogs with light planer work. I removed the metal screen and resolved the issue.About 10 hours on the machine and it seems to work well so I changed from 1 star to 3. It’s still very difficult to look past the massive initial failures.

Will WEN replace it?
I've had this for 9 months. I've emptied the bag 3 times, and am nearing the 4th full bag. The motor bearing is failing and now barely works. I've contacted WEN, but it's been TWO WEEKS and I've heard nothing, so I'm not sure what to think. Terrible customer service.Honestly, I'm not sure how good this is. There's a 1 star review here that says it can't handle 2 tools, which is absolute nonsense. I have a splitter to two 2.5" hoses. I use it on two tools simultaneously all the time. From my table saw and planer, to my band saw and multiple sanders. However, what I notice is that, compared to a vacuum, when you make the hose smaller, like for my orbital sander, suction decreases, whereas in a vacuum it increases. It's really weird. Some people say it's quiet, but I've found it's pretty loud. Sure, I can't hear it over my table saw, but I can hear it through the outside wall of my house, and even in my neighbor's house, so...

Absolutely worth the money
There is controversy on whether these cheap units are better than a shop vac... if you are hesitating because of that, don't. Its much better than a shop vac for dust collection.I will say, that I am not a WEN fan. I have been burned by low quality on a few of their tools, but the price on this dragged me back for more punishment... So far i am pleasantly surprised. The next cheapest comparable dust collection unit was still 50$ more at harbor freight, and any sort of unit that would be an further improvement was 3x the price or more, so i decided to take a chance on it.For roughly the price of a shop vac, this is a much better choice. I went through 3! shop vacs before trying this. Burned up a brand new craftsman, tried a used ridgid that had nowhere near enough suction, and was using my old "filter queen" house vacuum with some success, but needed more airflow, as my hoses kept filling up with dust. This is way better. The suction isn't necessarily impressive, and if it encounters resistance, it wont "push through" like a shopvac might, but it has way better air throughput, which is what you need for dust collection.Manage your expectations, keep your hose runs short, and enjoy. My small shop dust collection system finally works!

Good suck for the buck
Downsized a few years back and let several things go, including a 2 HP JET dust collector. When I got a new planer recently, I had to have something better than the canister vac. I was prepared to be disappointed, but I'm not. Plenty of suck for the planer and drum sander. Surprisingly good with a SawStop PCS. Not enough keep the top clean, but great for the cabinet.Pleased enough I think I'll get a second one just for the saw.

Mal el producto y mal el vendedor
No funciona bien.

Missing Voltage
Its 110 Volt not 220 Volt . I send it back.

Does what it says - lots of air movement
I have a Dewalt dust extractor that is great for my power tools, but doesn't have enough airflow for situations where you need more air movement (e.g. dremel carving or fine hand sanding of a part on a desk). I combined this WEN fan (that is what it is) with a Powertec hood and hose and it does a much better job for this type of high air volume application than the much more expensive Dewalt.I was leery of WEN as I have read from others that it their products are lower-end. However, this is made of steel, with a thick plastic fan so at least out of the box it looks to be durable - time will tell. While I would have preferred a modern brushless motor design (like Dewalt), WEN does include a pair of spare brushes and their location on the motor is unobstructed, so probably these will work out OK. Do note that this is not a HEPA filter (just a big bag that zippers closed), so it will not prevent any fine dust pass-through. In such situations, I expect to need an N95 mask ... which is always a good idea with shop dust anyway. Note that it never claimed to be a HEPA unit so I didn't mark it down for that. What I did mark it down for a bit, was lack of a pre-filter. Effectively there is a open mesh screen in the inlet port with roughly 1/2" holes, so nothing much will be stopped - not even fingers (hard to imagine why you would put your fingers in there anyway, but just to note it). Adding a pre-filter would cost some airflow, so I understand why they didn't use one, but the option would have been nice. Likely there is something aftermarket out there, but I haven't looked yet. The unit can be wall-mounted, which will leave the dust collection bag hanging in the air below it which might be problematic, but great to have that option.Note: Powertec 4" adapters and hose fit this unit which is nice.
