Edge of Shadows = Edge of my seat!
Edge of Shadows was a GREAT ending to this trilogy!Billy "Edge", Rose, Chase, KC, Lucky, the whole gang is back to stop another threat they thought had ended with Lost in Shadows. What a thrill ride, I was on the edge of my seat with all the twists and turns. Chase is being a "wonderful" patient at the hospital waiting to be released, while Billy goes to bat for the team trying to keep Rose out of jail after the way the Preacher was brought down. The senators are at his throat trying to come to grips with the fact that their team saved their lives, but have to blame someone for the outcome. Meanwhile an evil foe returns to Rose's life. She has a deep dark secret she's trying to protect while trying to catch the preacher's followers and new partner from who knows what. As they struggle to keep their heads above water, someone is trying to sabotage them every step of the way. A traitor in their mist, but who?Suddenly everything falls apart, bullets are flying people are dying (or are they?) and any place they go is unsafe. Wanted by the FBI and Homeland Security they're fugitives on the run. Will Rose and Billy every get to expose how they feel about each other before it's too late? IF so will they act on it? Will Chase with his bum ankle be able to protect KC? IS Rose the traitor? Is the senator the Traitor? Will Rose and KC live? Will Rose be able to keep her secret? Where is the terrorists next target? And what are they using? MYSTERY, suspense, and love boiling like water all around the team. GREAT ENDING to the trilogy!!BUY IT, you don't want to miss it!Thank You CJ!

"Special Threat Response Team"
For a trilogy, this book stands alone well! It has to be the skill of the Author, C.J. Lyons; the backstory was just enough to make the story complete! Military, political, suspense, and romance, this book delivers! Rose Prospero is a fascinating, strong, intelligent woman who has a couple of huge secrets. The man who loves her, Billy Price, only knows one secret. Rose is former CIA and Billy is former Delta Forces. When Rose is asked to run the STRT and asks Billy to help her, he is more than happy to have her as his boss. Rose and the rest of her team are still dealing with a home-grown terrorist group formerly run by the Preacher. Rose murdered the Preacher, but he had lots of adult children who want revenge. Things go very wrong when Rose and Billy realize they must have a traitor in their group!Rose, in spite of her past, has realized she is in love with Billy. He is crazy in love with Rose also, but is afraid she won't want him once she finds out he knows one of her secrets. They both have to almost die numerous times before they can finally risk telling each other how they feel. Somehow, this works; Billy frustrates the reader, but their love is sweet to read! This story is elaborate, complex, and has non-stop action that will keep you reading into the night. The "good" characters are interesting and will just make you wish and hope there are people like this keeping us safe! A really good read!

Great finale, great series
Edge of Shadows was an excellent finale to a great series. Each book in this series was superb, however, I liked this one the best. Almost all the characters were included and the ending wrapped up everybody's story lines. Some thrillers are way too complicated to follow with just too many characters and too many twists and turns and too much thriller/black ops jargon. This book had just enough jargon, which was always explained, and it was not too convoluted to be able to follow along. I wish the epilogue had a bit more information on the HEA of more than just the two main characters in this book, but that didn't detract from the book or series at all, just my preference. I prefer much longer drawn out epilogues, especially when a series ends as I have invested lots of time into reading multiple books and want to have more of a finish to the characters. That's my main complaint regarding the current trend in books - the epilogue is just too rushed and too short, and I don't think I am the only one who feels this way. Other than that, this was an excellent book and a very wonderful series.

For thriller lovers
I follow blogs of CJ Lyons and have watched some of her excellent training videos about writing and publishing. Although thrillers are not a preferred genre, my curiosity about her `thrillers with heart' tag led me to read Edge of Shadows when there was a free copy offer for review on Amazon. The story meets all the criteria for a thriller - fast-paced, a lot of action, twists and turns, big stakes - and almost reads like a story board for a movie or TV production. Being the third novel of a trilogy (and not having read the two before) may explain my failure to suss out the team relationships quickly or to fully engage with the characters or the love story. And there was a lot of violence.Edge of Shadows is well written and will surely appeal to those who appreciate thrillers. Although my preferences still remain elsewhere I will try to read one of CJ's medical suspense novels from the Hart and Drake series, and hope for more satisfaction.

Edge of Shadows: The ShadowOps Finale (Shadow Ops, Book #3)
By: CJ Lyons & Cynthia CookePublished By: Legacy BooksAge Recommended: AdultReviewed By: Arlena DeanRating: 5Series: Shadow Op #3Review:"Edge of Shadows" by CJ Lyons & Cynthia Cooke was a good contemporary thriller-suspense that had 'fast-paced, action, twist and turns' that kept your interest from the beginning till the end. This read was the last in this series of the 'Shadow Ops series.' In the search for a traitor among the team really kept this novel moving. The characters were all so well developed...some producing flying bullets, lots of hairpin turns, some were just plain evil...other good...and in the end you will get a real good read from 'The Special Threats Response Team.' In the end we finally learn who the traitor is and it did surprise me. This is a novel that will keep you intrigued until the very end. Would I recommend? YES!

Part 3 of 3 part serial
Enjoyed this. Good complex story. Well written and fast paced. Downside, hence just 4*, only found out when came to read it, it's not a standalone. It's part 3 of 3. They're dependent on each other. I'd read part 2 previously but didn't realise a serial. Thought was series. Typo, a gobbledygook muddled sentence, so early on in book, page 2, was a bit offputting bearing in mind author used 3 professional editors. Just me nitpicking.

Wow! Read it and see why...
The final of the trilogy and WOW, a fantastic finally with twists and turns that kept me reading way past the 'middle of the night, got to sleep' stage. Wonderfully tied to the first two books, but again able to be read individually due to the way the story begins. Rose and Billy, the two main characters, are written in such a way as to emotionally involve the reader in their story. Reading this as the final book resulted in research about the author and the purchase of more of CJ Lyon's work. Fantastic!

Wow loved this series
I got one book free on Kindle and was hooked. I just had to buy the rest. Read all three back to back. None on the heroes is perfect but they sizzle and have integrity. The females are strong but no overly macho as in some novels. Wish there had been more books in the series as I would definitely have bought them.
