I'm pretty amazed by this mouse. It's not at all what I had pictured it would be. I assumed it would be big and bulky, but it's not. At first, I thought they had sent me the small version by mistake. I started getting pains in my hand and wrist both working and gaming. This mouse was so comfortable right out of the box and I have yet to notice any pain (except switching back to my keyboard). It didn't take long to get use to the feel of it. The one drawback is that now my hand seems to rest completely on my pisiform bone. I'm just used to having the mouse closer to me. Guess I need to learn to rest my arm on the desk too. I've been using a Logitech Performance MX mouse for years, so I can only compare this Evoluent to it. It's lighter than my Logitech and easier to move around. The Logitech seems a lot heavier. The Evoluent is actually smaller in length than the Performance MX by almost an inch. If you stacked 2 MX mice on top of one another, that's about how high the Evoluent sits. But, your hand sits almost vertical. For me, it's the perfect size of my hand and fingers. I think this is a very good looking mouse. The grip has a slight rubberized texture to it and the dark blue on the click buttons is very nice. The mouse clicks are actually more sensitive than my Performance MX. I also love the third button. I have mine programmed to right click on the 2nd button and show desktop on the 3rd (it's pre-programmed to right click on that 3rd button). At first I did squeeze that 3rd button a lot by accident, but I'm getting used to not hitting it. You could just disable it, if it bugs you. I only had one hitch with the software. I use Emsisoft Malware & Online Armor. When I tried to open the Evoluent control panel, Online Armor would block it and freeze my system (which it never does). I had to reboot and setup Online Armor to ignore the Evoluent folder, before I could use the software. So just FYI, if you use Emsisoft. Was it worth $109? To me yes. I remember when I bought my Logitech Performance MX new, it was $99. This isn't a cheaply made mouse and it helps so much with my hand and wrist pain. I'm happy with it.

This is a GREAT mouse to use if you spent so much time on the computer. If you have Wrist, Elbow, Shoulder, and Neck Pain. You need to try this mouse. It's pricey but we'll worth it.

I have wrist pain. Even though I am seeing the doctor I wanted to give a try to this mouse. I regularly use a wireless HP mouse over a surface with a bit of a slope to reduce the tension on my wrist, that has helped a bit. I thought this mouse would help with the pain and I might be able to use on the same way I use the HP one. Well, after 3-5 seconds of using it the pain was back and intense, and I detected pain on some other places: the part of the wrist that touches the table, the opposite side of the wrist, the pinky finger that lies on the bottom "lid" of the mouse, and the thumb (similar to the tension when holding a hair between the tip of the thumb and index finger). I might need to have some rest from the computer for a while, I will give it a try again after that. Related to other functionality: it works great, haven't tested for gaming but it seems not to have delay on the signal, it works fine on most surfaces (even on the couch), there's no visible light coming from the optical part, the pointer speed button is very convenient and works fine. Works out of the box with box Mac and PC, and some of the extra buttons have extra functionality on Windows (7) without need of any drivers (like, you can open links in new tabs). Auto scrolling works with Mac as well, which was a bit unexpected. My wife, who doesn't spend that much time at the computer, says is a good mouse, comfortable for her and responsive. Yet, I bought it for my wrist pain and it didn't help. Update: each time I use this mouse I feel pain in my wrist, after 1 sec of holding it. My wife loves it though.

I just bought a second one of these for my home after my employer got me the first one about a year ago for my office use. I'm a software developer and naturally the majority of my life is spent with computers. I was starting to have a lot of pain in my wrist area last year, when I took an ergonomic assessment and found out about this mouse. I have a pretty big hand, so most other ergonomic mice would not fit properly in my hand and I had to hold my fingers in a cramped position all the time. Furthermore we all know the natural posture of human body is not to twist your wrist to have your palm facing the desk. With this mouse you will maintain the natural posture of your wrist at all time. and your fingers could remain relaxed on the mouse, and it will provide a pretty good support for them. There are various sizes available so make sure you get the one that fits your hand the best. Wireless works flawlessly. Battery life is pretty good. It is a bit heavy, and since it fits completely differently in your hand than any other mouse, it will take some getting used to. If you often have visitors who would want to work with your computer in some way, they will get really confused with the mouse, so I have ended up having two mice connected to my machine. One for myself, and one for all the other people who don't know how to handle this mouse. On the bright side, you have something "cool" to show off ;-) Immediately after I started using this mouse, my wrist pain went away, and after having used it for a year I couldn't be happier with it. I will definitely recommend this mouse to whoever has long hours of interaction with computers.

I have purchased several over the years. First the mouse drifts all over the place as if you are fighting with the mouse, or someone else is trying to control your mouse. The technology is dated. If you turn the mouse to the bottom side there are several design flaws. You will see 4 "pads" on the bottom, 2 larger on front & back and 2 very small on the sides. Well, if you think about a bicycle with training wheels, it's the same concept, so if you try to move left or right or kitty corner, it's like tipping over. Very straining on the arms. AND over time the pads wear. So, if you imagine your bottom shoes where it wears on one side, guess what... the same idea. Again it makes it very straining on your hands.... like tires wearing out. It's only designed to go forwards and backwards. Second, the mouse drive is so outdated. It has not been updated since 2015 and uses your system application, which it just again fights with each other. Third, Evoluent appears to have minimized cost in material. As mentioned, I have purchased several and the size of the mouse is smaller than in the past. So small the it is at a 90 degree slant and puts strain on your bottom side hand and two smaller fingers. The mouse again drifts so widely and you have to literally move it 5 inches to span your screen. I want minimal movement. NOW, let's talk about the pointer! Ugghhh, the pointer fights with you, it takes forever to "snap" or locate where you are at and drifts all over the place other than where you want it to go..., it again hurts the hand. Tracking is is horrible. WIth technology today, I want something that meets the fast paced environment, not a scooter. This used to be a top -rated mouse, just another pain on your ergonomics. ONE last note. BIGGEST upset... every time I start my computer, the mouse is is not recognized. I have to take out the adapter from the USB port out and re-attach. REALLY? I do not want to wear my USB port out for a dysfunctional operating system. Depending how you connect the USB port to mouse back in, it appears the mouse control ability degrades more than the above mentioned.

It's been over 10 years since I had to start mousing with my left hand. Any time I tried using my right for longer than a few hours, then pain in my wrist and forearm would set right back in like it never left and stay for hours and sometimes days. Now with the same trouble starting in on my left wrist, I was genuinely concerned. Initially, I was looking for a trackball and in the process saw a recommendation for Evoluent. I'd never seen or heard of a vertical mouse before but the concept seemed brilliant. What better way to get the pressure off of the flat of the wrist than to rotate the wrist? Because my left has been giving me so much trouble, I decided to go with the right-handed model and take a chance that it wouldn't fire up the pain again on that side. I can honestly say that I've been using it now for weeks with NO PROBLEMS! Pros: 1) I can mouse without pain! 2) Fits my hand perfectly - make sure to pay close attention to the sizing chart. 3) Stylish, if VERY different. 4) The macros are SWEET and can be a real time saver. Cons: 1) It’s a bit too hard to grip for my taste. When mousing, if you get to the edge of your pad, you want to pick up the mouse and move it over. The instructions tell you to tilt it and drag it, but I found that to be annoying. You can't exactly grab it and lift it up as it will slip from your grip if you don't apply finger pressure (which triggers clicks you don't want). I solved the problem with a bit of bat grip tape. I put a small strip along the thumb rest and another strip along the palm side. I can now grip it easily between my thumb and palm and move it or lift it as I choose. 2) If you can't handle people poking fun at how it looks, get something more traditional and suffer the consequences. The most common comment is "it looks like a pencil sharpener". Don't care though - it's WORTH it. Can't express how happy I am to have found this product. I highly recommend it to anyone suffering from wrist or forearm pain from traditional mousing.

The mouse appears as advertised and worked fine out of the box. There was some glitching at first as I plugged it in to a USB hub next to my corded gaming mouse (the instructions specify not to use a hub but my laptop is USB deficient), but when I unplugged both, plugged the Evoluent in first and made sure it was configured properly, then plugged the gaming mouse in second, they both work fine. I had hoped to use it for both work and gaming, but I did not find it as responsive as I like for FPS games. I keep my corded mouse handy for gaming but use the Evoluent for everything else. I am a large man (6'2") with large hands, and I find this mouse comfortable. Using a regular mouse for more than a couple of hours causes me pain in my wrist, forearm and elbow that can last for several days. Using this mouse for 4+ hours per day for the last week, I felt a slight soreness from using unaccustomed muscles, but adjusting my chair to be more ergonomically correct has pretty much solved that. Also I am learning that not dropping my wrist or allowing the fleshy part of the outside of the hand to rest on the desk is important; eventually I will get one of those gel wrist pads but for now I have adjusted the armrest on my chair so that when I reach for the mouse my arm and hand stay properly aligned. Basically this mouse is re-configuring the way I sit and work, starting from my mousing hand. After 20+ years of incorrect posture, it's taking some getting used to, but the reduction in pain is worth it. There are some other minor things that require getting used to. For example: There are two thumb buttons, one above and one below where the thumb sits. Contrary to expectation the top one is used as a back button, which is good since I keep accidentally bumping the bottom thumb button when I reach for or grab the mouse. I would recommend on their next iteration of this mouse that they put both buttons above the thumb rest. Another minor thing to get used to is the three-button layout, with scroll wheel between the first and second button. At first I thought the RMB was not working, but soon realized I was pressing the center button, not the actual right mouse button. Now that I'm used to using my ring finger for RMB, having the center button as a scroll control has come in very handy when reading lengthy documents and web pages. Over all, I am glad I bought this mouse.

Même en utilisant le majeur pour cliquer, ces douleurs ont persisté pendant plusieurs mois jusqu'à l'achat de cette souris (symptomes faisant penser au syndrome du canal carpien). - Mauvaise ergonomie du bureau (siège non adapté, mauvaise position des bras et des poignets). Après achat : - Prise en main rapide. Il faut juste un peu de temps pour acquérir un geste rapide et précis. Le bouton de réglage de la vitesse du pointeur et ses 4 positions permet de choisir simplement sa vitesse de croisière, lente au début, et progressivement plus rapide. - Prise en main agréable, même avec de grandes mains (21 cm entre pli du poignet et extrémité du majeur). - Premières sensations d'amélioration dès la première semaine d'utilisation : plus de douleurs persistantes en dehors du travail. Quelques crispations du poignet pendant l'utilisation au début. - Boutons légers sans être trop sensibles. Le clic molette se fait avec le bouton du milieu (pratique sous Autocad et Internet). - Deux boutons additionnels côté pouce, programmables avec le pilote de la souris (raccourci pour Précédent sur Internet...). - Bonne impression de solidité. En bref : - Très bon produit, à recommander vivement ! - C'est maintenant difficile de réutiliser une souris classique. Elle me suit au travail et à la maison. - Le prix d'achat est un peu excessif, mais le prix s'oublie, la qualité reste. - Penser également à vérifier l'ergonomie de son bureau : position des bras, hauteur du siège... Je n'utilise pas de tapis de souris surélevé.

- Perfekt für kleine Hände (Handballen zur Spitze des Mittelfingers bei mir 15.5cm) - ich war auch innerhalb eines Tages an die Maus gewöhnt, Armschmerzen waren innerhalb einiger Tage verschwunden (und tw. bin ich 6-9h am am Computer beschäftigt) - Ob mit oder ohne MousePad hatte ich keine Probleme - das Scroll-Rad bereitet auch keinerlei Prboleme. - die Lippe zur Unterstützung des kleinen Fingers finde ich auch super - einziges Manko ist dass die Batterie mMn relativ schnell leer gehen (4 Monate in Gebrauch, schon 3x wechseln müssen), aber bei konstanter Bluetooth Übertragung auch nicht verwunderlich (aber verbesserungswürdig) man merkt das relativ deutlich daran, dass die Maus extrem verzögert reagiert Meine große Sorge war, dass die Daumenablage schnell schwitzig und rutschig wird, allerdings hat sich das nicht bewahrheitet. Ich benutze sie sowohl in der Arbeit als auch zu Hause mit Mac OS 10.11 u. 10.12 ohne Probleme. Nach Treiber Installierung kann man auch die extra Tasten bequem einstellen (für den normalen Gebrauch nicht nötig), habe die beiden Daumen tasten mit copy, paste versehen und die dritte Taste am Ringfinger mit Enter, will die schnelle Kombi nicht mehr missen!
