A trajectory from blunt to hopeful to realistic
It's a bit gloom and doom initially, but maybe such an extreme take is necessary to shake one out of their myopia. It is a little triggering, so be prepared to sit with a thick journal to pour out thoughts, cry etc. I do think she's been a bit no-holds- barred because it seems to be addressed to therapists which becomes evident towards chapter 8. A fact that didn't come forth while reading the description and previous reviews. The book does calm down towards the second half and become more hopeful?
