Jabsco29200-0120 Manual to Electric Marine Toilet Converstion Kit for Jabsco Toilets 29090 and 29120, White

I bout this pump to replace a manual pump on a cruiser at Lake of The Ozarks MO. It was a simple installation procedure changing a few hoses and removing 6 screws and everything went smoothly. It was a very simple installation mostly because of the fact that the boat I had installed it on was prewired to have an electric pump.I also have a boat that has a pressurized vacuflush system which i find much better all around, this being said this is a good replacement for a manual pump. Makes people on the boat a lot less scared to flush the toilet. After about 4 months of use the unit stopped working and has had to be returned. Something I noticed with the removal of the unit is there appeared to be toilet paper buildup in the line going to the tank. I think this could be fixed by running the unit longer when flushing, or maybe my friend didn't buy quite the right toilet paper.The one thing I noticed is that there isn't a real control of water level in the bowl. On my vacuflush I can pull up on the flusher and raise the water level in the bowl without flushing. I think it is a great upgrade for someone who has a power boat they use for recreation, I am not sure on the durability is there for someone who might be a live-aboard or on a commercial vessel. I guess time will tell with the replacement there is a 1 year warranty.Remember to think about where you will get power from if it is not there that would be the hardest part of installation. It is internally switched and doesn't draw a ton of power so you could hook it to something that is hot it wont drain a battery.

This unit works very well. it is new and only time will tell how it holds up. It is loud and very noisy. I have beeen in construction all my life and I am very handy with my hands and tools. When Jabsco says it is easy to install and no special tools or skills ar required. It make me wounder about people that do not have shills or special tools. The pump it self was very simple to change out. Then you had to re-plumb the inlet and install their filter and make a number of 90 degree turns to get your hose up to the downward facing inlet. You had to remove the old water flow to the toilet along with the siphon,and run a new hoses to the toilet. The most difficult job was to run the DC wire to the Navigation Station were the DC power is located. Depending on the distanceyou may need $200.00 worth of #6 wire. There may be no place to cross from the port side of the boat to the Starboard side. In my case I had to do a lot of routing and drilling of holes to go from the port side to the bildge to the engine compartment to the alft berth and back up the starboard side to the Navigation Station. So to me you had to have a lot of skill, But it pumps a lot of water and works well.

I purchased three unit’s one completely leaked internally but factory customer service immediately sent a replacement, so good job. Alas while the unit is heavy and feels robust and will likely deal with most anything, it very loud. Shakes the boat. In fact you can hear it from other boats. It’s louder than an anchor windlass. Surely there’s an alternative?

It is not a direct replacement for the manual pump - though it does fit on the same connection to the toilet. The details provided by Amazon aren't all correct.If the toilet is above the waterline the inlet hose must not be more than 3m long (I can't see where this is mentioned in the Amazon description).Self priming up to 0.6m(2ft) - best case apparently, I'm less than that and it won't prime for me. Unfortunately, you also only have 10 seconds of priming (ONCE) and then they tell you that you can't prime it anymore or you will burn out the motor. WHAT? Competitors advertise as not having this (what I would consider a) defect.The 29200 does not have the ability to vary the water level (as stated by the description in Amazon), it has two functions, flush, where the bowl is filled and emptied at the same rate, or empty, where the fill function is by-passed to allow for an empty bowl when at sea.Unfortunately, I purchased this in October with the intention of installing it when I winterized the boat, and didn't get to it. Now I'm beyond the return date, and can't return it. This is at best a very expensive boat anchor - I have read reviews (after the fact) that point to the opinion that it would be better to buy from Jabsco's competitors. In my opinion, you would be better off with someone else's product. Avoid this conversion kit.

I have a 30 FT SeaRay that I replaced the original toilet with a manual Jabsco about 5 years ago. I decided when it came time to rebuild the manual pump to convert it to an electric.The change out of the manual pump to the electric conversion actually only took about 10 minutes. The difficulty that I had was with the electrical circuit. There was no power in the head area so I had to snake wires about 8ft to the main electrical panel, This took about an hour.THe pump works well and the real test was that my wife approved of how it looks and how it works. I am the captain of our boat but she appointed herself "Admiral" many years ago.

Tried working it into my electrical panel so it could have its own switch and it kept tripping the breaker. But then just wired it direct to the hot from battery and grounding strip and it’s working great now! Sure it’s loud, but small price to pay for something that’ll work well

Quick disposal of waste a plus. Sounds like a blender a minus. Over all it was easy to convert the manual head to automatic operation convenient switch to activate. I like 👍 over all.

However, the only reason we needed to buy this is cause they use PAPER CASKETS!!!!Really, what a crime!!!

Ho dovuta acquistare un altro kit perché il precedente solo dopo due stagioni è diventato come nelle foto allegate.Spero che questo duri qualche anno di piu' ,se no lo cambierò con altra marca.Rimango a disposizione della Jabsco insieme al precedente kit elettrificazione per ulteriori chiarimenti ,se volessero riconoscere la garanzia.

Lo he comprado porque pensaba que seria una mejora para la comodidad del barco, pero el funcionamiento no mejora el sistema manual, además hace tanto ruido que todos los barcos alrededor se enteran cuando vas al WC, y si es de noche despiertas a todo el mundo. En mi opinión no esta a la altura de una marca como Jabsco, me confié porque el sistema manual lleva funcionando perfectamente 15 años en mi barco, pero por el precio de este producto se pueden comprar tres de otras marcas.

Commandé en toute uregence le 13 Juillet, j’ai reçu la pompe le 16 soit 3 jours plus tard depuis l’Italie vers la France!Incroyable!Article bien évidemment conforme puisque c’est un original.Prix très très compétitif! J’ai cherché ailleurs mais je n’ai pas trouvé moins cher.Il m’a fallut 30 min pour demonter la pompe cassée et pour la remplacer avec la neuve et je ne suis pas Monsieur “Bricolo”. 4 boulons (du 11) pour deplacer le wc complet pour se donner de la place. 6 vis pour retirer la pompe (4 cruciformes et 2 plates) et 2 tuyaux à déconnecter. Remplacement du joint (fourni) puis depose de la nouvelle pompe. Je n’ai pas remplacer le filtre pumpguard (boitier noir) qui se trouve dans ma cale moteur car celui qui est en place est encore en parfait état.

The kit is excellent, fits perfectly and does a terrific job. Works flawlessly. Only drawback is the high noise during operation.
