Attaching hardware is complete garbage. Can't comment on rust resistance yet however the bolts and nylock nuts are fragile. Use a soft touch when installing. I replaced 5 of the 8 as they were not threaded correctly and would not screw all the way in. The mounting bracket and wheel assembly seem to be up to task.

Works great for my 14’ Quicksilver inflatable. Easy to install.If using in saltwater make sure to rinse it or it will show signs of rust.

I really wanted to love these launch wheels. I replaced an older set of Davis Ind. launch wheels that were great. The attachment brackets are horrible on these. they constantly bend and that is using them on a boat ramp. I dont dare try using them on a beach.

I have this product installed on my 12’ Smokercraft aluminum boat. While pulling the boat up onto the rocky beach from the water one day this month after crabbing, my starboard side wheel got hung up on a small log and severely bent both the wheel frame as well as the pivot bracket that attaches the wheel assembly to the boat. I called up Davis Instruments and Customer Service was quickly able to find the replacement item part numbers and prices. This was great until I wanted to order the parts and they didn't have them in stock and in fact, had never ordered them or planned to. The next sad response that the person told me was that I would have to order a complete new set and that way I would have a spare wheel assembly if another one broke. This is a great light weight product until it breaks, then you up the proverbial creek with you know what… Tom W
