This is the first time to use this product and I love it when to use it to make compost from kitchen waste

The product smells, even in the supposedly airtight compost containers a sample of it comes with. And more importantly, a meal moth infestation began in our house one day after we started using it. Meal moths are absolutely horrible. They don’t go away, and they lay their caterpillar eggs in you food. This company needs to make SURE there are no moths in its product.

I asked people if this is wet or dry beforehand because I wanted to know if the weight was due to more product or just more water. Don’t be fooled, it’s more water. It’s a sticky mess, it doesn’t cover well, and I could have bought 3 bags of my regular bokashi bran for the price. Very disappointed and wish I could return it. Have to get my hands in it and break up sticky clumps every time I use it. What a mess.

Got this as the bokashi I typically get was unavailable… prefer more the dry grain type to this.. my cats don’t like this one in their litter box as they do the dry grain bokashi. I also use it the help with recharging recycled soil mostly and the dry grain bokashi is better there as well but this works in a pinch.

I dump anything organic onto my compost heaps, old food, dead plants, sticks, anything. Usually it takes all summer for everything to decay and be usable. With the Bokashi Bran it took less than 6 weeks, and I used it sparingly.
