XAV-AX3200 7-Inch Multimedia Receiver with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto

Works amazing, brightness is a little lower but works perfect. very satisfied with this purchase. i’ve seen a few reviews saying there was a connection issue that wouldn’t allow carplay. I had that issue at first but i just spend $7 more and bought the Anker USB-C charger which is more powerful to be used as carplay as well as charging. if you just use a simple USB-C charger that is specifically meant for charging it will not work. But once i did some research i got it all figured out and works perfect!!

A big improvement over the standard radio. Backup camera is great.

Installation is "Easy peasy lemon squeez". Installed my Landcruiser 76. No problem at all. Had to buy Sony specific harness from amazon. Display is not a bright as a no brand android stereos. But it's OK to me. Interface is easy to navigate.

This is a great headset for the price. The only problem I've found is my navigation doesn't show up on the screen other than that it's functionality is what you expect from a quality brand like this. It connects to your phone as soon as you key on. The sound quality is great but I also don't have factory speakers. It's a good quality headset. The touchscreen has great response

nice deck. simple and user friendly. it was plug and play swap from my 11 year old pioneer. sounds great with my amp and two 10`s.

I'll start off with the good. It sounds pretty good. Sony's DSO (which has been around for a long time) adds depth to the sound, plus there's a 10-band EQ. There are a bunch of EQ presets, or you can make your own, including subwoofer settings. There are also high and low pass filters, 2 levels of bass boost, and 2 preamp voltage output settings for if you use an additional amp. You can also upload custom wallpapers and update the unit's firmware via USB with a flash drive (though, I haven't tried either yet), and when I plugged in my phone for the first time, Android Auto automatically set up my Bluetooth. My factory backup camera works perfectly with it and even looks like the field of view is a little bit wider. The unit itself is actually Single-DIN, but with a Double-DIN screen, which gives some extra space for the wiring behind it. Webplay is kind of neat, as it has a feature to mirror your phone's screen, or play media you have on it already, though this requires an app on your phone and a USB connection. Now to the bad... The screen is really, REALLY dim. If the sun is at your back, you won't be able to see the screen anymore. There is no brightness adjustment. Actually, outside of sound, there really aren't any settings to adjust. Android Auto/Apple CarPlay is wired only, and the USB cable is permanently attached to the back of the head unit, which is kind of a pain to run. Also, this unit doesn't have the plug for an external Sirius XM tuner add-on. The included remote is pretty much useless. I'm pretty sure my last Sony head unit from 2003 had the same one, and it seems like most of the buttons don't actually do anything because I don't think this unit has the features. EDIT: A couple of weeks in and it has already started acting up. Android auto randomly disconnects from the USB connection. I tried updating the firmware from Sony, but it didn't help. One trip, it wouldn't play any audio whatsoever on Android Auto, Bluetooth, or FM radio. Another instance, it froze up while driving, making the most horrible noise ever until it decided to reboot itself. I definitely got a defective one and it's getting returned.

Not many frills, nothing special but it was affordable and had all the features we wanted. Installed in a 2018 RAV4, using a SWRTY-61N wiring kit which let us retain steering wheel controls, backup camera, etc. Dash Kit was a Scosche TA2115B which fit and matches the stock grey interior. I installed with a switch to simulate the ground from the parking brake application as I was led to believe that it wouldn't let you access most features without applying the parking brake two times. However this didn't seem to the be case. I haven't tried the A/V in function but everything else is accessible without having to apply the brake.

It's a SONY sooo..... Good quality with better sound than the stock tuner (2016 Toyota RAV 4). Small issue that shouldn't be there in 2025; the clock isn't capable of staying on time. You have to adjust it every few days. I out a $100 JVC deck in my mom's Ranger that only had to be adjusted in the spring and fall.
