Battle Decks are 60 card decks that use cards from any set, and are designed to be played for fun with your friends. We build each Battle Deck around a theme, so that each deck is a unique and fun experience. For example, Crews Control combines the Inspire mechanic and the Crew mechanic to trigger all kinds of tap/untap shenanigans. We also have decks like Trial Run, which gives you the experience of piloting the most busted Amonkhet draft deck of all time. Can I play them in a tournament? You could, that sounds fun! But, you would have to make sure all the cards are legal for whatever tournament you are entering. The majority of Battle Decks contain Standard and Modern legal cards, but sometimes they will feature cards from supplementary sets. We would also recommend you build your own sideboard for a tournament, since Battle Decks DO NOT contain sideboards. What cards in are each deck? Each deck is built around a theme or an archetype, and each card is hand-picked to make that particular deck the most fun it can be. We build several batches of decks as card quantity permits, but sometimes we are out of a particular card, so we swap it with a functional replacement. For example, we might be out of Magma Spray, but we have lots of Shocks, so we will swap those cards in order to build more copies of a deck. When cards are swapped in decks, we make sure that they adhere strictly to the theme of the deck to guarantee the same play experience!
