KOBE CHX3830SQB-2 Brillia 30-inch Under Cabinet Range Hood, 3-Speed, 650 CFM, LED Lights, Baffle Filters

The overall appearance of this range hood is excellent. The installation went smooth due to an easy to read instruction manual. I had one concern after installation - one of the filter baffles was not staying flush to the underside of the hood. I contacted the manufacturer and within days had a replacement part that fixed the issue. The customer service was exceptional. The hood has one level for the light, however, I would have preferred a second lighting level. The ventilation seems to do the job – sounds like it is doing what it is suppose to do when on high, and very low noise on the quiet setting. Overall, I would have given this five stars, though I would expect it to be perfect at 5 stars. So a little extra work to get it looking like I would expect, and still a very good product at 4 stars.

This is a very different unit from those (now) $100 tin units. The lowest speed on this vent moves TWICE much air as a Broan/Nutone running on high. It is a brute, about 45 pounds, so make sure you got a buddy or two to hold it up while you're mounting it.The AC now comes out in a pigtail alongside to top 6" vent opening. A vent damper is included for use with the 6" vent option. My unit arrived with one fan not operating, the fan blade assembly had to be loosened and moved closer to the center of the housing. After that, it ran like a top!This unit makes very little noise on the low speed, it's easy to have conversation at the stove while it's running. On low, one can fry a pound of bacon with no evidence in the air! The LED lights cover the top of our 4-burner 30" range well.The 39" model offered by Kobe is perfect for use with 15" deep cabinets! It is 19" to the beginning of the front 'slope' on the fan cabinet, so it needs no blocking from the back wall, and the outlet runs right against the wall as it should.Very happy with this unit, well worth the price!

Ordered this for a complete kitchen remodel that took months to complete so wanted to have this early enough for when the project was close to be completed.My fault for not opening and checking the box when it arrived. The box looked like it came directly from the factory, not opened in any way.Opened on a Sunday and discovered SEVERAL parts missing. Contacted Amazon who referred me to the manufacture who doesn't open until Monday at 9 am.Very disappointed with this product, Amazon and the manufacturer.

Installed this hood last year but overtime noticed it does not work well at all. The fans seem to work, but there is no real suction and when the filters are installed there is very little airflow through them. The user manual says 'the baffle may be incorrectly installed" but in the instructions there is not baffle installation process and there isn't a baffle in the parts list. I'm going to try and return this as I don't need an expensive piece of junk.

Once the fan was installed there was a metal to metal grinding sound. The service rep was very good and tried to problem solve it over the phone and I obliged. He decided to send two new screen covers that protect the fans. When I put the new screen covers side to side to the old screens you could see the new ones were more concave and when they got installed no more grinding. Great powerful suction on the two fans and a good looking range exhaust.

I have used this hood only three days now, but I like it a lot. Right out of the box, it appeared well made and sturdy. The outlet duct adapter (6" round) fit well, unlike other hoods I have installed. Installation was straightforward although the instructions did not show how to move the electrical connection from the top to the rear. That move was also straightforward.Most impressively, the claims about quietness were verified. I don't have a sound meter, but on the low speed, it moves a respectable amount of air, and it is much quieter than any other hood I have used. It collects the vapors coming up from the cooking food very well.

This curved fixture was a good design solution since a square hood projected too far on either side, partially blocking some pull-out spice shelving. The controls are adequate, using small push buttons for changing fan speeds and turning on the lighting.The only knock on this is the lighting; the small 3W LEDs are barely adequate for seeing into pots or pans directly under the lights (they're in the front), but pretty useless for any pot on a back or center burner. Brighter lighting please!

Very nice looking and works great. Only downside is that it needs more lights to light up the back of the stove.
