A nice story
A story for young adults with good elements of mystery and thrills. Only wish the word meanings were put as footnotes rather than in the middle as it sometimes takes away from the flow. But well written and enjoyable.

Witty, Engaging, Fun Characters!
A while ago on Tumblr, I saw a post complaining why so many book heroes are teenagers. Someone said, "I would LOVE to see an old lady kicking butt with her cane and going on adventures."This is the second book in a series, and when I picked it up, I had no idea how witty, fun, adventures, and unique it would be! There are elements of seriousness within the plot that has to do with the main character's father, but it's written in a way where instead of making you feel somber for the unfortunate mysteries and events, you just keep turning the pages to find out what happens next. The characters are engaging, the plot is forward-moving, and although it took me a few weeks to get to this book in my Kindle cue, once I began reading it I couldn't put my kindle down. This is a "lighter" read that will make you smile as well as keep you entertained, and although it's great for a young reader, as an adult I also found it entertaining and fun. A definite recommend!

Very entertaining!
A fantastic protagonist and narrator, this novel is as whimsical as it is enthralling. A great combination of mystery and humour. You don’t need to read the first instalment if you want to dive straight in.

Adorable book, as a kid I would had LOVED it!
The book is written amazingly well, it blends grown-up cliches into a language a young child would love. The Author writes her book in a very exciting way making you want to go on reading. I found it hard to put down, the storyline is fluid and easy to keep up with.On the whole I think this book is a wonderful book to buy and read - I highly recommend it.

A great kids book.
It was enjoyable as an adult, and I know I would have loved it as a kid. It does this nice thing there more difficult words are defined, and that reminded me of A Series of Unfortunate Events. It doesn't shy away from serious issues, but deals with them well, and treats the reader (and therefore the young audience) well. Sometimes kids books talk down, but this didn't.
