I've been using the Ultra Platinum 10W-30 for several years on my 2004 Hyundai Tiburon i4 and my wife's 2007 Hyundai Tiburon V6, and both engines have been running very well - smooth, quiet, and fuel efficient. When I drain out the old oil after about 10,000 miles or one year of driving, the oil still looks good and clean, having gone from light amber brown to dark amber brown but not dark brown or black.I believe it's totally worth the extra coin to get the Ultra Platinum to get the most out of a car's engine. 5 Stars.

Pennzoil base stock oil is derived from natural gas and oil analysis of the new, unused oil shows that it's extremely pure. As you know, dirty oil is the enemy of engine longevity, so starting out with the purest oil possible is a good thing! Used oil analysis also shows that this oil resists breakdown quite well, well within the acceptable protection range in terms of viscosity and staying power of the additive package. Best of all, I'm getting a high quality oil at consistently low price. Pennzoil Platinum does a great job of protecting my engine at a price that is easy on the budget. Unless the price drastically changes to the upside, I don't see any reason to switch to a competing brand. However, if you drive a high HP sports car, the Ultra Platinum version has a somewhat better additive package for more extreme conditions.

I use Pennzoil for many years for all my cars. The cars run smooth. It always in stock and easy to purchase from Amazon or Walmart for best price. Autozone and oreilly always have it but 20%+higher prices . I usually change oil every 5k miles even it says can go up to 10k miles. All my cars running strong without any issues. Get the 10k oil filter with the oil, your car will run great

This is very good oil for a lot less money than my other choice (Amsoil). However, it's frequently out of stock on Amazon and they do a very lazy (or at least inconsistent) job of shipping it.It rarely has the "gripper" sticker that keeps the cap tight. Usually no secondary container (bag). It's generally just tossed in a box and sent out. Given that this is technically a hazmat, I don't know how Amazon gets away with it.

I enjoy watching automotive product comparisons on YT. Review after review validates the superiority of Pennzoil full synthetic motor oils over the competition. Whether in terms of cold flow rates, lubricity, friction protection, resistance to heat breakdown, or the extent of additive levels, Pennzoil synthetics almost always top out the list (save for the Am... line which, while being the "best of the best", costs nearly triple everything else). I typically watch for a price reduction or rebate and then buy a case or two on Amazon. It is a rare day that anyone else even comes close to Amazon's prices on Pennzoil synthetics, and nothing beats having the jugs show up the next day via Amazon Prime. Thank you Amazon! P.S.
