Wedding invitations
We ordered this to wrap around wedding invitations & it’s the perfect thickness. We did order another brand first but it was more like tracing paper. The thickness was perfect, it’s a good quality whist still being transparent enough.

Perfect for Laser Cutting and Craft Projects
Translucent Vellum Paper, Dowsabel 68LB 8.5 x 11 Inches – Perfect for Laser Cutting and Craft Projects As someone who loves working with laser cutting on my Xtool P2 55W CO2 laser, finding the right materials that can handle precision cuts while maintaining their delicate quality is key to achieving stunning results. Dowsabel 68LB 8.5 x 11-inch Translucent Vellum Paper has quickly become one of my favorite materials for crafting. It has the ideal balance of strength, transparency, and smoothness, making it perfect for a variety of projects. Performance & Cutting Quality • Laser Cutting Perfection: This vellum paper cuts beautifully with my Xtool P2 55W CO2 laser. It handles the precision of the laser without tearing or warping, and the clean, crisp cuts provide intricate detail on every piece. Whether I’m designing custom invitations, decorative items, or elegant cards, the vellum maintains its delicate nature while taking on complex designs. • Delicate Transparency: One of the standout features of this vellum paper is its translucent quality, which gives any project a soft, ethereal appearance. The 68LB weight provides just the right amount of thickness to be durable but not too heavy, ensuring that it maintains its transparency while still offering a smooth surface for engraving or printing. Perfect for a Range of Projects • Invitations and Greeting Cards: The soft, frosted finish of the vellum paper makes it ideal for elegant invitations, wedding cards, or custom greeting cards that require a refined touch. The translucent nature of the paper allows for layered designs that can showcase intricate laser-engraved patterns or personalized messages while letting light through for an added effect. • Paper Crafts & Embellishments: Whether you’re making scrapbook pages, decorative bookmarks, or gift tags, this vellum paper is perfect for adding an extra layer of sophistication to your crafts. Its ability to be layered with other materials gives a unique depth to any project. • Framing & Decorative Items: The slightly translucent look of the vellum makes it a great choice for decorative wall art, shadow boxes, or framed quotes. It’s a perfect material to pair with other laser-cut elements for a stunning design that is sure to impress. Ease of Use • Smooth Texture for Clean Cuts: The Dowsabel 68LB vellum paper has a smooth texture that allows my laser to cut through it with precision. It doesn’t require extra adjustments or settings changes, making it easy to get the perfect cut every time. Whether you’re creating a single piece or cutting multiple sheets for a larger project, the vellum works well across various designs. • Perfect Size for Most Projects: Measuring 8.5 x 11 inches, the paper fits perfectly into standard printers, making it great for printing designs and patterns onto the paper before cutting. It’s also a standard size for greeting cards, invitation designs, and scrapbook pages. Pros: • High-quality translucency that enhances the elegance of any project • Smooth texture that allows for precision cutting, especially with a CO2 laser • Perfect weight at 68LB, providing durability without losing its delicate, soft finish • Versatile material for a wide range of crafts, including invitations, cards, and decorations • Ideal for laser cutting, printing, and engraving Cons: • Because of its delicate nature, vellum can sometimes crease or wrinkle under pressure, so be mindful when handling it during your projects • The translucent finish might not be ideal for every design, especially when you need a solid, opaque surface Final Thoughts Dowsabel 68LB Translucent Vellum Paper is an exceptional choice for anyone working with laser cutting or crafting projects that require a touch of elegance. The high-quality translucency, combined with the smooth texture of the paper, makes it perfect for creating intricate designs, greeting cards, wedding invitations, and more. It pairs beautifully with laser engraving and cutting on my Xtool P2 55W CO2 laser, making it a versatile material for a wide range of applications. Whether you’re creating something simple or complex, Dowsabel 68LB vellum paper allows for creativity to shine through, with its perfect balance of strength and delicate appearance. Pro Tip: If you’re layering multiple pieces of vellum in your project, you can use E6000 Craft Adhesive to securely bond them without disrupting the paper’s transparency.

Nor thick enough
Quality is not thick like mention. It's to fine. I decided to try a different one. In picture is to see that even bent even though I led something on it to keep it down.

inkjet Prints for crafting, junk journaling, invitations, not stark white
This was expensive! I thought I was getting 100 sheets for $25 but I got 50! Yikes. No where near the quality I own of vintage vellum from Essence du Papier from early 2000s. This vellum is not thick as stated, it is the weight of a about 22lb copy paper, it is ivory not stark white. If it was any thinner it would not work. It will flop if you hold it and not be stiff like thick vellum. So if building paper things this needs support. This vellum may succeed in blind embossing with a Cricut, or Sissix machine. I am confident this will work in a Cricut cutting machine as well. If it was thicker, it would crack in blind embossing. It feels lighter than parchment for the oven. I printed a dozen sheets and all were fine except one that turned out very blurry. Bottom tray printing works with a stack and not one sheet at a time. No need to adhere this to another sheet unless your printer is finicky. They print a little softer and not crisp like copy paper if that is what you need. But quite good for crafting. I have not tested glue, or embossing on it yet but I am sure it will be fine. I am sure this will work for small lantern making. Or layered paper art. The vellum is not stiff so needs support if you are doing large panes of this rather than smaller ones. Paper buckles and crinkles after printing but flattens as it dries. For the price it should be 100 sheets in my opinion. However, due to time constraints, this was an ok purchase and success for printing. I know good quality vellum exists out there, but for vintage looking crafts, or invitations, this is just fine. Tracing and marker art can work on this too since it accepts pigment ink. See my picture comparing it to Hp bright white printer paper.
