Exquisite! Did my fireplace. No grout needed. Just used HD ceramic tile adhesive and placed over existing white porcelain tile.I even used extra and glued to boring brown picture frame that are in living room. You can cut the netting the tiles are on with a scissor.The individual tiles are real so hard to cut but you can easy cut between rows.When i recieved they were in perfect condition no tiles poping off.Spectacular!

We recently bought a fixer-upper and my wife's early priority was a redo of the kitchen. We researched many tile options before settling on the mother-of-pearl. We were not sure how it would go in or how it would look once installed. Judge for yourself. It was not that difficult going in the the results were great. The little tinges of color give it a 3 dimension look that we were not expecting. All in all, we are absolutely delighted with it.

This tile is gorgeous! I decided to get the rectangle shape instead of the little squares. But if you want to do less cutting- I suggest the squares for ease of application. You need to use a very thin application of tile setting mortar so it doesn’t squish through the mesh- the tiles are very thin. I’m not sure what to do around the edges yet because regular tile trim does not fit with the thickness of the tile. I cut the tiles with a dremel cutting wheel and they can be sanded and shaped by sanding. If you do this- just make sure to wear protection because the shell dust is not safe to breathe. I used mapei colorflex 3d in frosted glass to grout.

I absolutely love this tile! It was significantly cheaper than any of the other mother of pearl tiles I saw online and in person. I had ordered a sample of one that was more than twice the price, and the quality of the shell was identical on this and the more expensive tile. The mesh can be cut with regular scissors, making it easy for even a novice like me to DIY. I found it hard to cleanly cut the tile chips themselves (tried a couple of different glass and tile nippers and a dremel), but was able to get around this by cutting a few single rows/columns of tile and adjusting the spacing a bit where needed. Because of all of the different tones and light reflection, this tile is pretty forgiving when it comes to small shifts like this.It is even prettier in person than in pictures! I included a few different lighting examples in my pics to demonstrate how the shimmer changes depending on how the light hits it. I couldn't be happier with my new backsplash, and would highly recommend this tile to anyone. Excellent value and quality, and it's very easy to work with.

this tile is really beautiful - i did three walls in my half bath in this tile. was a little pricy, but well worth it. None of the tile was damaged - it was all clean and well packed.
