For this product, we are equipped with 2 expansion bolts. There are 2 pre-drilled holes on the back and bottom of the safe. You can install it on the floor or wall.

How do you lock the safe using your fingerprint? I bought this as a gift for my mother who seems to be a bit clueless when it comes to tech...

You only use the fingerprint to open the safe. To lock it just return the handle to the closed position.

What if the batteries are dead? How do you open?

This touchscreen fingerprint home safe is equipped with the type-C receiving jack at the side of the touchscreen. It is used in case the batteries are depleted or you cannot find the backup keys.

Are there fixed bolts on the hinge side that seat when the door is closed adding to the 5 live bolts?

There are 2 fixing bolts in the box, which can be fixed with the two hinges inside the door.
