RevellPinewood Derby Dragster Racer Kit

Because the wood is already cut it makes it very easy to do a little sanding and start painting not long after opening the box. I am a boy scout leader and needed a last minute car before a race. This kit comes with the BSA wheels & axels and everything to make it look really sharp. Just add a scout, a weekend, and some paint, and its ready to go.

Purchased for my son’s school project. Perfect kit with everything included. Turned out great. Definitely worth the purchase.

My youngest son fell in love with this car when he saw it - next year he starts as a Tiger but he wanted to do a car for our Pack's open division.To be sure, this will NOT make a competitive car. As other reviewers have stated, the design is such that it's very difficult to weight this car to bring it up to 5 oz. Sure, you can drill into the back to put in internal weights, but too much and you make the car back-heavy and unstable. Your only real option are stick on weights, but again, the car is too thin to really weight it properly. The weights included with the car don't even come close to bringing this car to 5 oz.I think it's a good car for a concours event, but if you are looking for something competitive...this won't do it for you. That said, my youngest and I had a lot of fun putting it together, which is really what counts.

The kit was easy to ra with and all the primary cuts were made out of the box. The wood at the axles is very narrow and broke easily when tapping in nails. The car looked great completed but weighed in at 2.4 which is way too light for a pinewood derby race. That’s with the included weights. We had to add a ton more weight to hit 4.9. This makes it look like an armored dragster. If you don’t care about weight and only cosmetics it’s a good little kit.

Last minute purchase for a family reunion pinewood derby competition. We made some tweaks to the design, but ended up WINNING IT ALL! High $$ pot was the prize! So all in all, a VERY worthwhile purchase! We actually felt kind of bad, considering how much time and effort went into all the other cars. Winning car in the first picture is fourth from the top. Second picture is of all the winners: 1st place, 2nd place, and Best in Show.

This car is actually shorter than the typical Pinewood Derby block and is very light weight even with all the pieces and added weighs. Car was cut out square and well done.

Kit had exactly what it had in the description. The car itself is a little flimsy and hard to sand properly (we didn't want to break it). All in all, a good racer kit.

The derby car had all the components, but was a fragile. It broke on us twice. Thank goodness we had super glue!

The wood was do dry as soon as you put a nail in it it split and brokeWaste of money.
