Super warm boots. Kind of bulky though.
These boots are great. Super warm liners will keep your toes toasty in the worst weather. They are very light considering how large they are. Worth every penny. These are replacing a set of Sorell boots I've used for the last 10 years. Sorell boots aren't as high quality as they used to be, so I tried these out. I spend a lot of time in the outdoors in the Colorado Rockies during the winter, so I needed a durable replacment boot. These did the trick. Overall I'm happy with them. They fit to size. If you're a 10, order a 10. They're a little bit large to allow for thicker socks. There's a few things you should be aware of though.Pros:Memory foam liner can be replaced, but you will need to break it in to the shape of your foot. It will feel tight at first. VERY squishy liner will accomodate thick winter socks though. The quality of construction is fantastic. Triple stitching around all seems. The tread is amazing, even on ice. I didn't need to use crampons to get traction on icy slick surfaces. There's a shelf on the back of the boot for use with snow shoes. The finger loop is large enough to use with gloves on, and will help you get the boots on.Lots of inslulation, and will keep your foot toasty warm.True to size with room to spare.Cons:The boot is only waterproof up to the ankle level. The tongue of the boot is completely open on the sides from the ankle level to the top. This makes it easier to put the boot on, but will allow slush/water in. Not too happy about that, but it hasn't happened to me yet.The boot is too large to allow use of most gaitors. These have a LOT of insulation, and are very bulky at the top.The hardware loops used for the laces doesn't seem like they're very strong. I've heard that they can pop out. Hasn't happened to me yet though. Not too worried about that happening though. You will need to break in the memory foam liner. This will feel tight on your foot for the first few uses. Just keep walking around in them and they will conform to your foot shape. The laces are pretty short. You may need to replace them with longer ones.No mounting point D ring for gaitors like there is on the sorelle, and the Baffin Snow Monster boots. There's no gusset flap on the top of the boot like there is on the Sorelles to keep snow out. Not a big problem, unless you're going through very deep snow. But that's why you bought these boots right?Overall, I'm happy with my purchase, and would reccomend them.

Best boots I've ever owned.
Have been a LaCrosse boot fan my entire life. The pac boot type with the felt liners. But, I'm getting older and they're so clunky and heavy. And I didn't want anything with natural rubber because it ALWAYS cracks. I usually beat a dead horse when I buy something and researched them all. LaCrosse, Baffin, Rocky, Kamik and the other popular Canadian brand. (Can't think of it right now)I chose these and they are the best boots I have ever owned. They are the warmest and lightest by far. I stand on the ice a lot and very seldom feel any cold. And don't listen to the other reviews that say to buy a size or two bigger. A size 9 is a size 9 for me. They fit perfectly. The liners are unbelievable. I can't see them ever wearing out like the felt type.Yes, they're tight as hell the first time you wear them but after one or two times they settle in like all shoes and boots. I highly recommend these.

Baffin Deceptive Practices. Disappointed in Baffin.
Not as warm as I thought they would be. The information indicates tested for minus 40c. I sat out fishing in minus 2 c and my feet were cold so disappointed. Company also indicates product was produced in Canada upon further inspection books are manufactured in Myanmar. Only after reading the small print on the Baffin website they advise that products not shown as Canada made are indeed manufactured outside of Canada. Deceptive practice for me. Have written to Baffin but no reply. Won’t be buying Baffin again will seek alternatives. 😢😢

Great boots - Amazon not so great
DO NOT trust the Amazon sizing information. I usually wear 8 1/2 to 9 EEE shoes. So I ordered these in 10 M (Amazon only having M) but the boots arrived in 10 AA. After lots of chatting with an Amazon rep, he assured me he had sent a message to the warehouse to make sure I get a 10 M and not a 10 AA with my return. Needless to say, I get 10 AA again... After a _lot_ of back and forth with Amazon chat again, I had to order _new_ ones in 11 M in the hopes that I'd actually get 11 AA, so that they aren't too large ... while waiting for the refund to be processed for the 10 "M" version. NOT COOL AMAZON!Speaking of not cool. That is what these boots definitely are not. They're absolutely toasty warm! Even after sitting outside in the cold (down to maybe -5C ~23F so far) for a couple of hours, getting into them and walking a bit my feet get nice and warm very soon. Took them out into -10C/14F today for a 90 minute walk and my feet were toasty all the way. Given I was borrowing my SO's Baffin -40 boots for snow shoveling last year and I had toasty feet in even colder weather than today, I don't doubt that these will do the trick as well. Awesome Canadian boots!

Definitely size up twice.
Sizing; I'm a size 10 in mens and I purchased a size 11 for toe space based on the advice of others. I honestly should have gone up another size. If your toes touch the end, as they will when kneeling, walking downhill, or for various other reasons, you will get cold feet.Warmth; If you plan on sitting around at a campsite or doing anything outdoors for long a duration of little physical activity, you're going to have cold feet. These will only keep your feet warm at -30C if you're active.Comfort; 5 out of 5. These boots are incredibly comfortable. Likely the most flexible and comfortable boots I've ever worn. They have an amazing feeling of securing around your foot like a ski boot but with the flexibility of mukluks. I find myself wanting to wear them long after necessity merits them.Walking in them; awesome when the ground is uneven and the snow is deep, but not so much when one flat pavement as you;d find during activities like walking a dog. In such situations their bulk get in the way.Bulk; I love the large footprint and how they kind of squish down flat when you walk, but good luck getting anything to go around your calves and over these boots. I don't remember the exact diameter of them but I have twigs for legs, and with these boots it was something in the 27 inch diameter range which makes for fitting anything over them to keep snow from getting in the top an almost impossible chore. They're absurdly fat boots at the calves which is the biggest drawback in my opinion.Best feature; removable insoles. If you're going to be outside for multiple days such as with winter camping... this is mandatory of any good pair of boots. It allows you to remove the inside boot and dry off the moisture by a fire which would have otherwise completely destroyed any insulating value. It also plays a double roll of allowing you to get heat into your boots before putting them on in the morning which is a big help in maintaining comfortable feet. Without this feature you're going to have a miserable time trying to warm up the boots from ambient temperatures after they've been sitting outside the tent overnight. Now, would I buy these again... for my purposes, probably not. I'd without hesitation buy Baffin boots again, but for my uses and the activities I do, I'd go with a warmer rated boot from baffin. they're -70C boots or even -100C boots look very appealing to me after having owned and used their -30C boots extensively.p.s. If your feet are cold in these boots and you're out camping... DO NOT try and warm your feet by the fire. These things are thick enough that by the time you feel any warmth from doing so you'll have super heated the rubber and particularly the glue that hold them together. The best solution is to pull the insert from the boot and wearing only those, warm them a safe distance from the fire before slipping them into the outside boot casing. Which is also how you should prepare them first thing in the morning so you're not putting your feet into what would otherwise feel like ice water and take hours to warm.

note : Mismatch between liner and outer boot sizes.
Inner liner is tagged size 11 US which is 10 UK or 44 EUR whilst the outer boot is tagged size 11 UK 45 EUR . this would require Amazon to take liner from a 12 to properly fit an 11.....In my case , to complicated to explain clearly / rectify. Simply found proper sized felt inner liner from my large collection of leftover's . As a bonus now my pants fit over the boots to make deep snow less likely to fill boot. Note : there was about 1/2" of unused space at the toe of the boot with the original liner .,[I am 10.5/UK/CA shoe size].

Amazing boots
My husband works in Nunavut and swears by Baffin boots. We purchased these to go on our ATV during the winter months. We’ve used them a few times so far and they’ve kept him warm and dry for our rides.t husband is pretty fussy and he loves these. Very comfortable and I highly recommend them.
