Can I pot these straight away into a large ceramic pot?

Probably? They’re very little, but lavender is hardy . I have put mine straight into pots but they are in a sheltered spot

when is best to plant ? is it too late this year ?

Best planted in spring after risk of frost . These were tiny plants and have grown well, might be ok if your soil is well drained as they don't do well in wet heavy soil.

what is the average width when fully grown of these plants

18 inches to 2 feet wide a little less high... they make a splendid small hedge around my herb garden and keep the squirrel from my snowdrops that are planted underneath
