Michelin Repeats Serious Error from Previous Editions
Here is an update after buying and using the 2013 edition:While I very much like the organization of Michelin Green Guides, I sadly note that their accuracy has declined in recent years.I write as a very heavy user of both Paris and Provence guides, plus a few others. I always buy the most recent, and I'm dismayed to notice inaccuracies in directions in walking tours, for example, are becoming more frequent. These guides need much closer editing.Further, when it comes to the Provence guide, for the last two guides, at least, the map on the back of the book shows that the guide includes the city of Nîmes, which it no longer does. Nor does it contain information about the Pont du Gard or Uzès, both of which were formerly in the guide. Even the description above in incorrect. This guide does not contain information about the Ardeèche.Michelin, get these problems fixed!ISTART PREVIOUS REVIEW: I reported this error to Michelin last year, so I am quite surprised to find it repeated in this new edition. Namely, the back cover very clearly shows a map that includes the city of Nimes in the area covered by the guide. Nimes is not mentioned in the guide.1) This is deception, albeit unintentional2) It is also an error of editorial judgement. In my opinion Nimes, Uzes and Pont du Gard should all be covered in this guide, but they are not.Meanwhile, thankfully, I am quite sure the Michelin Guide remains the best organized guide and the best guide for the serious traveler. I still use and recommend it.

Save your money and buy data for Google maps
Good road maps... Really detailed and nicely made. But way too big for small European cars. Would fit nicely in an RV but trying to read from the passenger seat of an Alpha Romeo was pointless. Use your $15 and pay for a little extra data so you can just use google maps.

Get this before you go!
You really should get this before your trip to Provence. Good and accurate ratings. Great overview as well as useful info on individual listings.

Michelin is up-to-date
This is the only guide that keeps the information seriously up to date. 2013 was a special celebration year in Marseille/Provence and only Michelin covered it adequately.

On our way to France
On our way to France soon and this book was recommended by a friend who is French, so I didn't think we could go wrong. Great book for planning what we want to do there.

Good & Prompt service from vendor
Good & Prompt service from vendor. Book was in good condition as described with some minor marks on the matt varnished cover.I like the Michelin Green Guides but I rarely bother to buy the very latest version so this one was good value for my use on a short one-off holiday.

but dislike the format of the newer ones with sections relating ...
I find the Michelin guides indispensable for planning holidays, but dislike the format of the newer ones with sections relating to areas perceived by the compilers as the way we plan our visits - not the way I wish to myself - and so making planning more cumbersome than it used to be! So one star lost for me.
