absolute hit!
I bought this Magnasonic All-in-One 24MP Film Scanner as a gift, and it was an absolute hit! The person I gifted it to has a large collection of old negatives and slides, and they were thrilled to finally have an easy way to digitize their precious memories. The scanner is extremely easy to use, even for someone who isn't very tech-savvy. The 5" LCD screen is bright and clear, making it simple to preview images before saving. This scanner made a perfect and thoughtful gift, and seeing how happy it made them truly made my day. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a practical, meaningful present!

Good Little Machine
I successfully transferred literally many hundreds of 135 & 110 slides some of which were over 50 years old, and the little machine did a commendable job. Not to detract from what it accomplished, just a couple of things bear mention. -- I needed to increase the brightness level to its max of 2 to keep most of the slides from transferring too dark and still needed to make some corrections electronically to brighten many of them after transfer. But the slides were very old, lived in hot/cold attics for all of that time and probably weren't brilliantly taken in the first place. The good news is that the resolution was still good enough to restore. -- Some (actually most) of my 110 slides were mounted in 2 piece plastic holders that were too thick to push through the carrier. I ended up having to manually push-pull them into position which wasn't hard to do but rather cumbersome relative to the efficiency of simply sliding them in position one after the other. More time consuming but not intolerable. -- The slides that were originally taken in a vertical orientation needed to be put through horizontally and then rotated when downloaded. Not a particular problem but something to keep in mind to avoid cutting off a bunch of those pix. Overall a good little machine that did the job that I would recommend to anyone interested in permanently saving old memories. It is nice to not have to drag out those unwieldly old projectors/screens for the family to enjoy clips of the old days.

Great converter.
Have not used yet but will be able to do my 35mm slides and super 8 films to photos which will allow me to now have photos that I previously could not readily look at. Recommend it to any home photographer wanting to get hard copy photos or save to computer or cd/dvd disk.

Excellent Results for My Needs
While downsizing as we entered retirement, we turned up 35mm slides and negatives going all the way back to the early 70's and wanted to digitize them (or at least see what was on them). Going to a professional lab would have been cost prohibitive, given the total number and the expectation that would be immediately tossing some in the trash. This little gadget did an outstanding job for a home unit. Fairly easy to use, adequate controls for color balance, quick cycle time, adapters work well, functional screen, and it plays well with my computer running Windows 10. One warning - if you don't clean the dust off your media before inserting into the unit, it will show up on the pictures and then transfer to unit to mess up your next picture. Clean your work area, use the little cleaning brush that comes with the unit frequently, use a soft lint-free cloth to wipe down slides and negatives, and keep the cat and dog out of the room.
