Will definitely buy again!
I hate writing reviews but man these things were a game changer for mem I've been making some for fun for a few years and I'd wrap them in parchment paper and twine to give as gifts and occasionally sell. Each bar would take about 3-4 minutes to wrap (cut the paper, wrap it, measure.and cut the twine, tie it, hand write the label). Now it takes me 10 seconds..... literally. And I have a nice smooth surface on which to put printed labels (not pictured bc I haven't done that part yet. I was worried I'd need a heat gun but my hair dried works perfectly on the hottest setting. I followed one reviewers advice and snipped a TINY piece at each corner to allow the corners to seal tightly. And I really like the face that theres an opening so people can smell the soap. It's clear (not yellow like some people are saying. And the plastic smell is minimal. They fit my soap bars really well - I really couldn't be happier with these!

Perfect for my small business soap, excellent quality.
Pictures will show you how to troubleshoot the "holes" issue everybody complains about. Great Joy Soaps thanks you, I never wrap my soaps before until I decided to give it a try, NOT TRUE they have holes, NOT TRUE they dont seal, they do seal perfectly. If you puncture a tiny hole to let the air escape then that hole will expand horribly, you gotta cut a corner (little bit) with an scissor, not toothpick holes. Also if you dont snip the corner DONT TAP down the air out of the bag if your surface isn't clean from any debris, as the plastic gets hot it also gets fragile, anything can cut through when you press it against the dirty surface, I learned that when oats felt of my soaps and on the counter and cut through the plastic when applying heat and tapping down the air. To seal you gotta use the hotter settings, mine seals ALL THE WAY Excellent product, first bought the 4x4 and now buying the 6x6 Industrial smell? As a whole I cant catch that smell and individually I can't smell anything, matter of fact leave an opening so you can smell your products through the plastic because once sealed you can smell ANYTHING. I dont know if there was a different lot in the past that was mess up, my experience is A+, value for your bucks.

Good bags...no odor.
I have no problem with the bags. I use it to wrap soap. The 6x6 are perfect. I have not noticed any odor from the bags. I was using the same bags for smaller bars of soap. It was not a smooth look. There was too much extra because plastic which made it look unprofessional. This same seller also sells 4x6 bags...which are perfect for the smaller soaps. I have reordered the 6x6 bags with same great results. One more thing.. In my first batch of bags I was getting holes like other reviewers talked about. I was blaming it on bad bags. It wasnt the bags it was the user's technique. I was wrapping the soap like a present. Sealing the bags nice and tight around the soap. Well, when I used the heat gun to shrink it down...holes would appear. Once I realized my mistake- loosely wrap the soap to give the bag room to stretch around the soap. No more holes. I will continue to use this seller for my shrink bags. 6x6 or 4x6.

Good brand; few problems with holes or tears as long as you use an impulse sealer & heat gun
So this product asked me to rate "drying power" but I did not, because I have no idea what they mean by that. Do they mean shrinking power? Because they shrink very nicely as long as you use a heat gun (do not try to substitute a hair dryer, it will look like crap). If they actually mean "drying," that's not a thing that shrink wrap does, and if your product needs to dry (like bath bombs), you should be very sure it's finished before you shrink wrap it. Anyway, I love these bags for my bath bombs. Very easy to work with and very rarely have any issues with holes or tears, so I always make sure to order the Metronic brand. I use an impulse sealer to seal the edge and trim off excess, poke a hole with a safety pin to allow air to escape, then shrink them down with a heat gun. They look very professional as long as you use the correct tools!

Works OK. Not as good as machine-wrapped items, but sure beats a ziplock baggie
So, it does shrink as advertised. But, if using on an odd-shaped item (like my circular and flower-shaped homemade soap bars), you end up with a fair amount of excess plastic that has to be folded over itself and the folded over wrap doesn't seal as effectively as the plastic in direct contact with the soap. Some folks complained about the "yellow" color, but this only is apparent when you look at the entire stack of the plastic wraps. The yellow tinge is not noticeable for each individual wrapper. I don't know why it works, but I found the wrap better seals after doing what others here suggested; nip a small bit off of each of the closed wrap corners before applying heat. Another way to describe this; each wrap is essentially a rectangular shaped bag. After slipping your item into the bag, nip a small amount of each of the bottom corners of the bag before applying the heat.

Sealed to perfection
Works great with the heat sealer. Easy to use. Nice quality. Seals great. Ordered multiple sizes for multiple size cookies. These were the perfect thickness to seal properly with the machine. They don’t shrink with sealing. The size was great.

I use these for weird things... freon cans .... plumbing solvents and glues
I have to keep freon in my vehicle ... ugly 1500.00 leak .. freon is cheap BUT, it does sorta evaporate in the can or out of the can. I seal it .. yeah, leave the opening to the sides. Just don't keep heat on it too long to shrink. Other items.... my plumbing solvents and glues between uses. Don't use them often but, don't want to buy more when I need them.... AGAIN don't keep heat on it too longl Practice with them - you'll get the hang of it and might have freon the next time you need it
