Good razor
The blades are sharp and gives me a close shave. Changing the razor blade is also easy. Does what I bought it for so I’m happy with it.

Surprisingly easy to learn
I have been using a double-edged razor blade for years and have heard all number of horror stories about how difficult it is to get the hang of a standard straight razor. I've been considering the purchase of one for some time now but really didn't want to spend the triple digits necessary to get a nice, high-quality one. At least not yet, anyway . . . I found this on Amazon and saw that it had a great number of positive reviews. I liked the way it looked and liked that the blades were disposable. I'm an amateur bladesmith, so I have all sorts of sharpening tools available to me, but the disposable nature of the blades appealed to me since I wasn't sure if this was something I'd wind up committing to in the long run. Wow. Just wow. I was sold in no time at all. I will say that it takes me a bit longer to use this than using my regular DE bladed razor, but I'm OK with that. I can shave with the DE blade from start to finish in less than 10 minutes. I've not been able to shave with the straight razor and be finished in less than 30 minutes. That's not a complaint, though. It's actually kind of cathartic. I generally take a shower just before going to bed and I'm typically up until around 1 or 2 in the morning. I'll start warming my shaving brush and shave cream up before getting into the shower so that when I get out everything is ready. I generally have some old blues or jazz (Miles Davis, Blind Lemon Jefferson, or something similar) playing on my speakers while I'm showering, so I have that playing in the background. Then I lather up and get to work. It's sooo easy to get lost in the ritual that I forget that this is actually supposed to be a chore. It's such a pleasant experience that I'm almost sorry when I'm finally done and have to leave the bathroom. This razor cuts away stubble like it's butter. Given that I'm something of a novice with it I'm not ashamed to admit that I *have* actually cut my face once or twice, but they've all been relatively superficial. That being said, though, it's a great deal easier to manipulate than I had convinced myself that it would be. I'll reiterate that I *did* cut myself a couple of times, but not much more than I did when I first started using my DE razor. All in all, I love this razor. It feels good in the hand. There's a good sense of balance to it when you hold it. You can feel the stubble falling away from your face as the blade glides over your skin. It's just absolutely amazing. If you've ever been considering the purchase of a straight razor and have been on the fence about it then do yourself a favor and buy one of these. You might wind up sacrificing a bit of your skin to the blade gods, but it's a worthwhile trade. You'll be glad you made the transition. Trust me.

Good, but should not be your first
The exposed blade at 2mm is a bit trickier to navigate if you are new. If you want a travel kit or a closer shave, this is great, but if you're new, go for a slightly less protrusive design

Great razor.
This is an extremely well built razor. The blades are very sharp and should last a long time.

Could be better
I like the razor but hate the plastic handle. It’s very flimsy and it feels like it could snap if you squeeze it too hard

A Great Buy
I have had another one of these for a few years now. Cheap, simple, and does a great job. I have never had an issue with function, rusting, etc.

Dangerous! Had to return for a refund
Had to return razor as (a) blade sat too high and (b) wouldn’t stay in place, even when locked in. I like a straight-edged razor as much as the next man — however as I did not want a sliced jugular, I opted for a full refund. Thankfully this was easy with Amazon’s wonderful returns policy. Look elsewhere, unless you want to re-enact a scene from Sweeney Todd on yourself.

Comfortable Straight Razor with 100 Blades Included
I really love this straight razor kit. The razor is comfortable to hold, has a good weight to it, and feels secure in your hand while shaving. The blade replacement process is quick and easy, making it convenient to switch to a fresh blade whenever needed. I also appreciate that it comes with 100 blades, which adds a lot of value and means you won't need to purchase replacements anytime soon. The handle has an attractive wood-grain appearance. While it isn't real wood, it still looks great and gives the razor a professional barber-style feel. Overall, this is a well-made straight razor that is easy to use, comfortable to hold, and comes with plenty of replacement blades. If you're looking for an affordable straight-edge razor kit for shaving or grooming, I would definitely recommend it.

Learning Curve
We received some blades as a gift and bought the shavette to try out the blades. It's been a learning curve but the shavette seems to be good and any issues appear to be due to the user. 🤣🤣🤣. It was easy to put in new blades. Now shaving is pretty hit or miss.

Very accurate and ergonomically friendly
So the first thing I’ll suggest is buy this for the handle ONLY, not the blades. I use the derby blades and they work just fine for me. I got this recently and so far the handle works very well and allows me to line my beard more accurately. The blade sticks out more so you can see what you’re doing. The only downside is the handle has this strong chemical odour to it and it leaves black/greyish water behind after rinsing. I washed it several times with soap and it’s not as bad now. Just dry it on a paper towel to avoid anything from staining.
