Produces strong red light at useful wavelengths. Simple design, limited controls.
The whole field of home-based red light therapy is one that is continually debated. Useful or not? There are plenty of studies to suggest both answers. Still, there are enough reasonably well carried out studies that demonstrate some red light / beneficial effect, photobiomodulation, that a lot of people have tried it--and many swear by it.The development of high-powered, low-cost LED light sources has made it possible to develop red light therapy devices that are small and relatively inexpensive (compared to the cost of a useful device just a few years ago). This particular device promises a combination of high-intensity light in some of the purportedly useful wavelengths:Red light: 630nm, 660nmNear-infrared: 850nmYou basically get only one setting: On/off.While I can't attest to any amazing abilities of red light therapy in general, I can affirm that this device is capable of generating very intense light (see photos). In the kit you get:** Red light therapy flashlight** 2 x 18650 Li-Ion battery, 3000 mAH (flashlight only requires one battery, so the second is a spare)** Cheap USB-powered battery charger (can only charge one battery at a time)** Small travel bagTo turn the light on, you just push the button at the end of the device. Push it again to turn it off.As these kits and red light devices go, this is pretty bare-bones. There is no switch to opt among the red light wavelengths, no stand for the light, etc. But if you want a portable device to pack in your suitcase or backpack, this light is no bigger than a standard flashlight.I am not sure I can attest to the value of red light therapy, but if you're a red light believer, this kit offers a way to bring that technology home for a reasonable price.

Nice metal build, simple to use.
This is a nice red-light device, I use it for knee pain and shoulder pain as I have had good luck with red light therapy before, this light emits a slight heat too but not enough to burn, I couldn't find the exact LED wavelength this uses, but I assume it's 660 nm since this emits a deep red color, which helps pain, this light is super bright, and it can shine through my palm!, it's kinda hard to use in some areas like on your back, but great for easy access areas like arms, legs, feet, knees, face...etc.I actually like it includes "removable" batteries, this really prolongs the life of the device, you can always buy a new 18650 battery if needed, the included charger is decent too, it provides two batteries, so you can have an extra one charged as a backup. The device is a fully metal construction with a simple on/off button, it comes with a storage pouch, 2 batteries, and a 18650 battery charger.Note: Under camera I can see a slight purple hue around the red, so this "might" have IR wavelengths as-well, but I am unsure, the product description is vague, and it doesn't state in the manual, one product image says 660 nm, another one says it has 3 light wavelengths 630 nm, 660 nm, 850 nm, so if purchasing I would assume it's red light only.Overall I like this Red Light Therapy Device, hopefully the seller can better clarify the LED wavelengths.

Some Relief From Minor Aches
I've been using this on my face to help with fine lines/wrinkles as well as a few small blemishes. To date, I've not yet noticed any change. I'm also using it on my arm to help with some minor achiness I experience from time to time, thanks to a slip and fall injury. It does seem to help eliminate the achiness somewhat. The light is very easy to use. (It can even be used on pets!) Don't worry-it doesn't hurt or burn. Its small and lightweight (fits in a purse and perfect for travel), comes with a carrying case, cord for charging, instructions and 2 rechargeable batteries. (And that is what gets charged...the batteries, not the device itself)As of now, my overall rating is 3.5 stars but I will continue to use and update this review if anything changes either way. Because I've experienced some relief with my arm pain from this, I am going to recommend it. Keep in mind, KTS offers a 60 day full money back guarantee and a 5 year warranty on the LED light source as well as customer service available 7 days a week via email /phone should you experience any issues.

easy to use and store
I was very excited to try this KTS Red Light Therapy Device mostly for the benefits for the skin that I have read about. I was pretty skeptical too because I like most people have no idea how or why this works. I was also very intimidated to figure out how to use this. Even though I have only used this a few times and obviously have not noticed any huge changes, I am hopeful that I will with continued use. I will say that continued use will definitely be happening since the device is so easy to use and store and travel with. It says to use twice a day, but it's definitely hard to remember if you do not set some kind of reminder for yourself.

Effective for places where a red light therapy belt won't work
I have aches and pains in my fingers. You can’t put a red light therapy belt on that, and having a full sized lamp seems unnecessary. This light is the best solution for my pains and it helps. I use it on days I feel pain and keep using it regularly until the pain subsides. This light makes the pain go away quicker and feels soothing while doing its thing.

For on the go!
I use Red light therapy to treat wrinkles and acne! And I’m obsessed with this one because it’s small so I can bring to a trip without taking space! The only thing I don’t like is that I need to charge the batteries instead of charging the device. But the battery lasts for while and they send 2, so that makes the bad part an actually good part: if you keep the batteries always charged, you don’t need ever to wait for it to be charged!
