Perfect Match for the YU6MB
After being blown away by the performance of my Kanto YU6MB speakers, I decided to complete the setup with the Kanto SUB8VMB Sealed Powered Subwoofer and I'm glad I did. This subwoofer is the missing piece that takes an already impressive system and elevates it into something genuinely powerful, balanced, and full-range.Sound Performance (5/5) - This little 8 sealed sub hits way above its size. The bass is tight, controlled, and musical not boomy or muddy like many compact subs. It blends beautifully with the YU6MBs, filling out the low end without overpowering the mids. Whether I m listening to acoustic tracks, rock, or cinematic scores while I work, the SUB8VMB adds depth and presence you can feel, even at moderate volume. Despite being in my home office, it never overwhelms the room. Instead, it delivers clean, articulate bass that feels natural and enhances everything the YU6MBs are already great at.Build Quality & Design (5/5) - I purchased the Matte Black (VMB) version to match my speakers, and the finish is flawless. It looks premium, understated, and pairs perfectly with the YU6MB aesthetic. The cabinet is solid, and the sealed design keeps the bass tight and precise.Setup & Integration (5/5) - Pairing it with the YU6MB was straightforward essentially plug and play. The crossover and volume controls give you enough flexibility to dial in the exact level of bass you want, depending on your room size and listening preference. Once tuned, it just disappears into the soundstage exactly what a good subwoofer should do.Home Office Use - Even though this is my desk setup, the SUB8VMB fits surprisingly well. It tucks neatly under the desk, and because it s a sealed sub, it performs well even in smaller spaces without creating unwanted resonance. Together with the YU6MBs, the system feels full, balanced, and incredibly enjoyable for long working days.Verdict - If you own the Kanto YU6MB, this subwoofer is absolutely worth adding. It completes the sound without overwhelming your environment, and the tonal balance it brings is outstanding.

Great products AND great customer support
I don't write many reviews; there has to be something special about it. I have that here. I bought the Kanto SUB8 and Kanto ORA4 satellite/reference speakers. They sound truly outstanding (as in, hard to match) given their small size (which I needed) and pricing. As a counterintuitive bonus: The SUB8 was totally dead on arrival, not even a glowing power light. I immediately emailed Kanto's customer service (with extensive details about what I had already tried to be sure it was dead), and to my surprise, their entire claims process for taking back the dead one and sending me a new one was smooth and hassle free. It took 4 weeks, but 2 of those were just the cross-country shipping of the old & new one. The other 2 are about the minimum I could realistically expect an organization to go through the required steps. Well done, team!

If you want a sub for Ora4’s this is the right sub!
TLDR: It’s a sealed 8” sub. It goes thump. Great for listening to music and watching movies in a bedroom, 300W is plenty of power. Looks really good too!If you are looking to pair with Kanto Ora/Ora4 (my setup) and you love the appearance , and don’t care about low low low (Sub 40hz) bass, you’ll be happy with it, send it!Everyone else, read the full review.1) Sound:Sounds good! Very musical, it’s an 8” sealed sub so, doesn’t go super duper low. The tradeoff is great accuracy for the size! It’s plenty loud too. I have it set to 10% volume and it sounds awesome.2) Build and Appearance:It feels very well built and it looks so great! Idk why I personally don’t like looking at ported subs, they just don’t look as good to me. So I just love how this sub looks. So minimal and clean!3) Setup:No external power brick, love it! Just plug in the power cord and your RCA input and it works.*Two things preventing me from giving it 5 stars.*1) The built in crossover control is lackluster.I watched some other reviews on youtube on this sub. Definitely bleeds some higher frequencies above the knob setting, so without some filter from your speaker’s sub out or other hardware, this could be an issue for some. If you’ve got Kanto Ora’s total non-issue.**It is possible this has been fixed, the review I watched highlighting this issue was a while ago. These subs have been in production for a while. I don’t have the capability to test this myself.**2) The price.Because of the crossover issue, $350 is steep if you plan to use these in a minimal setup with speakers that don’t have built in crossover to their sub-out port. It’s also a higher price if all you care about is sound quality and don’t care for looks/size. I’ve seen comparison reviews and there are some larger, not as nice looking subs out there that are a little cheaper and sound just as good.I got them for $270 which is a more reasonable price.Like I said in the TLDR, it does look really good and sound really good. If pairing with Ora4’s you definitely won’t have buyers remorse at $350. It seems to go on sale often, so just keep any eye on price if $350 is a bit steep for you.Final Thoughts:I like this sub, I’m happy with it. It’s a joy to listen to with my Ora4’s.

SOUND,QUALITY,STYLE, The KANTO SUB8
I was looking for a sub that would complement my Mission LX2 Mark 2 bookshelf speakers. They are powered by a Denon PMA-600NE integrated amplifier. I use the matching Denon DCD-600NE CD player and the Fluance RT81+ with the Audio Technica AT-VM95E cartridge and stylus. This KANTO SUB8 does the job wonderfully!!! I spent 2 months researching and found many brands that looked good but when I read reviews and watched videos none of them seemed quite right. Some had port noise or box rattle, some had problems with the amp or longevity of life in general. Some brands were even cheaper but the build quality reflected as much. Some didn’t even have reviews or videos, which made me feel uncomfortable with choosing them. Then IT HAPPENED!!! I watched some very interesting videos about the KANTO SUB8 and why they choose sealed enclosures over ported and sound quality versus loud and boomy. I’ve always just used ported and didn’t realize that when listening to music, the ported sub I was replacing was influential to the music and not a true representation of what the artist intended. At least that’s what KANTO’s videos said and this intrigued my curiosity. How much better could a sealed sub be? Well let me tell you that although it’s not quite as loud as my ported sub that died, the QUALITY of bass is EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!!! Full five stars!! Leave the ported subs for home theater or your car. For a serious addition to a two channel system that may be lacking some low end, look no further. One note, have real expectations and know what your looking at, it’s not a “Rattle the house” sub. It’s a “ Quality over Quantity “ sub. I tip my hat to KANTO, great sub at a great price and has heightened my listening experience by bringing some smooth, tight, realistic low end to my system. Thank you KANTO, and thank you Amazon for having it at my front door the very next day after I ordered it.

Great sound at a great price
Amazing, deep bass in a crisp sealed box. This thing cranks out some great bass. Make sure to spend some time balancing it with your speakers, especially if you're in a small room. Absolutely recommend this product. Paired mine with ORA4 speakers. It's magnificent. Kanto is doing some great work with sound!

Perfect for my setup
I love this thing. Solid, minimal vibration noise on my wood floors with no aftermarket vibration isolation. Perfect for a gaming pc setup or intro audiophile type. Paired nicely with my Rega Planar 6 and Tuk desk speakers. If you have a solid desk, this setup is very nice. The sub is on the larger side so make sure you have the room.

Yup, it pounds!
I have this sub paired with the Kanto REN speakers in a small-medium sized living room and it pounds with the level at half way. The bass is very accurate. To be honest, it was overkill because the Kanto REN speakers were fine on their own. I barely turn it up because it shakes the floor and kitchen cabinets. I know everyone interprets sound differently but I’m not sure how anyone could leave a negative review unless you live in a mansion and sit 100 feet away from the sub. My Samsung soundbar and subwoofer don’t even come close to this setup. If you can get it on sale, do it because I do feel it’s a bit pricey but keep in mind that it’s a powered sub (built in amp) not just a sub.

Acceptable for small 2.1 systems in small rooms only
If you buy this woofer on sale, the fit, finish, and sound are acceptable. If you paid full price, you'd be miles better off with something else (RSL speedwoofer 10e comes to mind). The claimed 38hz is accurate, but at a considerably lower DB shelf than the rest of the frequency range. So when tuning you get to choose between inaudible lows and acceptable top end, or boomy over the top loud around 60hz with an audible and strained, barely sub 40hz response. I understand it's a lower power 8", but it should be priced and marketed as such. Great for PC speakers in your kids bedroom, but deserves no place in a proper hifi setting

Great buy... if at the right price
I paid $249. CAD, considerably lower than the usual listed price of $329. All of these low cost budget speakers go on sale every now and then; I waited 3 months. The main thing to keep in mind when ordering this sub is you have to match it with the appropriate main speakers; in my case the matching Kanto YUP6's (5 1/4") And, have a realistic expectation of what a sub in this price range can do. In the case of the YUP6's, this sub can easily over power the top, so it should be able to mate well with any comparable 2/way.The Kanto sub 8 packs a punch and fills the bottom giving the whole system the size and image of a full stereo. It does not extend to ultra low subsonics, but has enough bottom end to match the expectations of a good small to medium sized home stereo. Again, have realistic expectations. The sound is tight, punchy and possess ample bottom end for it's intended purpose. I am quite happy with it and that's coming from someone who owns $16K worth of REL sub woofers.

Great with Kanto yu6 speakers

perfecte match
