Frustrated that my new Pixel does not have a 3.5 audio plug, this has been a very workable solution. Not as good as having a 3.5. It does add bulk. It does cause my wired headset to tangle more than normal. But, it works. I have been using it substantially for a about six weeks. I do recommend it for being able to charge and have a headset simultaneously, to be able to use the many 3.5 headsets I own without the problem of having a bluetooth device near my brain, and for the cost. I'm buying one for a friend who has the same 3.5 problem with their new Pixel.

i know phone manufacturers are always looking to pinch a penny off their products. When i got my Pixel 6 (Which is its own interesting story of in itself) it did not have the option for an audio plug built into the Pixel 6. I must have slipped into Dinosaur status, because i still like an audio jack. i am not a fan of blue tooth or wifi head phones. Again, Brontosaurus speaking here. Like more these days, i work from home, do tons of conference calls and need my mic and head phones to maintain a strong signal when conversing with colleagues. i hate when a blue tooth or wifi device starts to lose signal and makes others sound like they're calling me from a bad sea line some where on the outskirts of atlantis. (Blub Blub, blub, can you hear me now Aquaman?) this item checks the boxes of my two major needs, keep the phone charged, and keeps me using my caveman head phones/mic. and remember peeps, Rawr in dinosaur means i love you.

Takes a moment to recognize when hooking up the the phone/auxiliary port, but the connection is solid. Its useful when on long trips and when GPS is needed. Quality of sound is great.

I got this for nighttime when I need to charge my phone and can still use my headphones to listen to music as I fall asleep. When I fall asleep and roll over, the earbud falls out, and I don't bother my partner with music when I am falling asleep. Before getting this piece, I could only do one, it usually charged my phone, and I would not be able to listen to music.

I bought this to use in the car after switching to a new phone without an aux port. Worked fine for a day or two, but now it just randomly stops working. Aux cable is not the issue as it was working fine with my previous phone.

There is a loose wire or something inside this adapter that keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. It is most frequent when holding the phone, however if left perfectly motionless on a flat surface, it will still randomly disconnect/reconnect. (Edit) I was contacted after this review and was sent a replacement, gratis. Thank you.
