Quality bit and tap set for the money. Worked like a charm drilling out a rusted, frozen 3/8” steel nipple in my air compressor. Heat, easy outs, internal pipe wrenches, nothing would remove it. This kit enabled me to drill it out and tap it 1/2” NPT and install new fitting in the bung just like it was factory. Definitely worth the investment for me.

Tap & Drill worked great for tapping a hole in a PVC pipe fitting. The tool was easy to use and did exactly what it was supposed to do. Very satisfied with the results.

Right drill bit for the job. I liked the design of the reduced shank with flats to grip drill chuck to prevent slipping. I always use the lowest cut speed on these large drill bits and taps, makes it work well without snagging. Overall, very easy to use and comes with a nice storage pouch.

Good quality for the price and complies with the job

Very nice quality drill bit and tap. After drilling a smaller pilot hole, I drilled the hole with the supplied bit and easily went into the aluminum. The tap made very clean threads. Doesn't waste your money on cheaper ones. This is the one to get it!

This worked fantastic on my 67 Corvette's Muncie transmission. The fill plug had seized so badly that it broke off. I was doing a clutch and had the transmission out of the car, so I drilled the plug out and re-threaded it using this product. I even put an additional drain plug in and used this to drill and thread that, too! It worked so good that I can now drain and fill the transmission while it's in the car. Of course, I took the side cover off and cleaned out the the transmission, flushed, and refilled with new gear oil.

Works great, ive ordered other sizes from this company and will order more when needed. With a NPT tap, never tap all the way down, otherwise you will not get a taper in the threads. Tap deep enough to get 3 full turns on the fitting you will be installing into the tapped thread. Once tightened with a pipe wrench you will have a perfect, no leak connection.

I used this to increase the size of fittings in an aluminum housing. Used a drill press for the drill and hand tools for the thread tap. Pretty good job, good for future projects

This is exactly the right tool for pipe threads 1/2” The price is very good and the combination drill/tap is great for repairs. Most threads in plumbing are in bronze and soft metals, so it should last a very long time Quality is very good (carbon tap) for non-commercial - highly recommended

Drill diameter and tap work perfectly together. Only used to tap aluminum but it cut nice clean threads. Very pleased with this purchase.
